  1. Yet another draft scenario

I love it! It's boring because it's just lineman, but boy do the Jets need it. They would make Chad & Martin look like pro-bowlers!
  2. At #4 the Jets are sitting in the catbird seat

How about the Jets trade #4 to Denver for their #15 & #22 ??? It would be nice to have 4 draft picks before #36 !
  3. Chad Pennington - QB - Jets The Jets won't comment on the status of Chad Pennington's rehab. It's believed that he's limited to throwing 15-yard passes. Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum said Patrick Ramsey has "significant untapped upside," which could mean the Jets will pass on a rookie quarterback at the top of the draft. 4. Jon Runyan - T - Eagles The Jets were "deep in negotiations" with T Jon Runyan Wednesday night. It appears Runyan will either join the Jets or go back to the Eagles with a decision coming shortly. Mar. 23 - 9:07 am et Source: NY Daily News
  5. Wed, 22 Mar 2006 20:38:06 -0800 Adam Caplan, of Pro Football News and Injury Report, reports the New York Jets met with free agent OT Jon Runyan (Eagles) Wednesday, March 22, and made a contract offer to him. The two sides are expected to continue negotiations Thursday, March 23.
  6. Jets | Pennington participating at the team's conditioning program Wed, 22 Mar 2006 19:06:32 -0800 Ken Berger, of Newsday, reports New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum said QB Chad Pennington (shoulder) is participating in the team's offseason conditioning program, which began Monday, March 20, but wouldn't say to what extent.
  7. Mr. T's press conference today!

Mr. T is my new hero
  8. Ok here is question..

Good point. However, new coaching staff & defensive scheme means players like Bryan Thomas may be more effective. He did well when filling in for Abe at the end of 2004 & in the playoffs. Plus let's face it, if Abe isn't playing for a contract, he's usually not playing, literally.
  9. Per Adam Shefter on Nfl network 2 minutes ago, the following has been proposed: Atlanta sends their 15th overall pick to Denver for Denver's 29th overall pick, 3rd round, and 4th round picks, then Jets trade Abe to Atlanta for the 29th overall pick
  10. Jets need a SUPERSTAR

As soon as you stop starting ridiculous threads
  11. 682 posts and still a rookie? How many do you need for veteran status? I really don't mind if the Jets trade up or down, as long as they draft Offense. Right now, I feel more comfortable with Leinart's abilities than Cutler's, but Cutler has looked good on some film I watched. If I were the Jets, and assuming I want Cutler and Abe is not traded for another first rounder, I'd draft Cutler (QB - Vandy) @ #4 and Nick Mangold (C - Ohio St) @ #35. After that, I'd still draft O-line, a tall WR late, possibly a RB. However, I'd also like to pick up a CB & DT in the middle rounds.
