Ranger
Anyone else in the same boat as me today? Yeah sort of. Sorry to hear it man. I work nights, so I had to work last night and go back in tonight. I would be asleep right now, but the smell of the food is keeping me awake. Yes I am a fat-ass
aec4
Sometimes it's more fun to work than it would be to sit with 30 family members and have to pretend you like them all.

joewilly
not only am I working guns, but I'm out of the country & my wife is british. We are going to friends' house tonight in an attempt to celebrate thanksgiving but it is basically just another weeknight for the willy's I worked til 7:30 last night guns & got pulled over on my way home. we drive on the left here but my truck is built in america so my steering wheel is on the wrong side, like 50% of vehicles here. omnibus in front of me was going 12 miles under the limit so i peeked out to see if I could pass him but couldn't see oncoming traffic so I tried peeking out on the other side. the cop thought I was drunk. After he realised I was not we talked for a bit & had a good laugh about life in cayman. He was really cool & I have no problem with being pulled over at all. Makes me glad I take wednesdays off each week from drinking & driving you have a lot to be thankful for guns with that beautiful daughter of yours. Sorry I missed you guys at sd tailgate but couldn't make it. Hope you get home to your family soon guns all the best.
T-Mac
Well I gotta work Christmas, does that count? They know better than to schedule me for St. Patty's Day, Thanksgiving, or any Jets home games. The rest is negotiable. Happy Turkey Night, at least. Maxman
Paging all units...paging all units. We got a mattress on Main Street. Right in the middle of the road. It is causing a major bottleneck. Please respond. Paging all available units...after the mattress situation is under control please respond to a leaky faucet over at the Jones residence. It seems that they are away for the weekend. We are worried about their water bill!
GreenBeans
Anyone else in the same boat as me today? No, but I wish I was right about now. I could do without the people at my house at this particular moment. Stay safe out there...
PFSIKH
Anyone else in the same boat as me today? Yup. The funny thing about my situation, when you start working everyday, the actual days mean nothing. Really, what is the difference between a Monday and a Friday? Perception. For me, it is actually Ground Hog Day everyday.
Bob
When I worked in radio, I worked most holidays. I don't miss it. AEC4 has a point, though. Relatives can be worse than work.

The Gun Of Bavaria
I managed to watch both games at work. There were only 4 of us on the road yesterday (In a town of 65,000) so the safest and warmest spot was watching football in the station. For one day I got to act like a lazy fireman. PFSIKH - Glad to hear from you bro. Hope all is well. I remember groundhog day in Bosnia and especially in Kosovo. 7 days a week, 12-14 hour days and being away from Christmas always sucked. Hope things are ok for you man.
