Jets will place WR Logan Payne on injured reserve

The Jets will place WR Logan Payne on injured reserve today, according to a person with knowledge of the team’s plans. That person requested anonymity because the team has not yet announced the transaction.

Payne has missed the first six weeks of the season as he rehabs from preseason surgery on a dislocated wrist. He recently had his cast removed and was hoping to return to practice after the Week 8 bye.

The Jets may need his roster spot to fill another need.

The team has five healthy receivers on its 53-man roster: Santonio Holmes, Plaxico Burress, Jeremy Kerley, Patrick Turner and Eron Riley, signed off Denver's practice squad this week. Also They Have 2 Healthy receivers on the 8 man practice squad roster: Scotty McKnight And Michael Campbell

That would mean that Shotty has us throw more than a five yard slant route... and that won't happen.

What are you talking about? Do you just say anything to harp all over our OC? At least make sense when you become a critic. Braylon Edwards ranked 8th amonst NFL WR's last year, with an average of 17.1 yards per reception. Sanchez also averages 12.4 yards per completion this year. And lets stop trying to blame Shotty for Plaxico dropping ball after ball. Because when Burress has actually held onto the football, he's averaged 15.6 yards per reception. Stop trying to act like Shotty Jr wouldn't know how to use a deep threat such as Randy Moss, when he used Braylon Edwards to perfection last year.

LOL. Not sure what you're upset about buddy. Reality is, Sanchez hasn't thrown the long ball. His average yards per completion is thanks to a very talented receiving core that make yards after the catch.

And Braylon? Who's talking about last season? Let it go.

God knows we could use your optimism around here, but using perfection to describe anything Schottie has done? Really? There is nothing remotely close to perfect going on when describing the Jets passing offense in any year since Schottenheimer arrived.
