Maxman
Anyone catch this last night? The new billboard on the visitors sideline? I think his name is Fireman Ed and he has turned into a Political Machine. Holding up signs blasting Woody. You know it is a bad year when the super fan wants a new contract. I wonder what the rates are. Maybe we can get him to plug Jetnation.com. We better ask before goldenpalace.com asks him to tattoo their site on his back. No way we can pay those prices!!! faba
Woody Johnson can be blamed for certain things but IMO how can you blame him for our stadium situation? The guy tried to get a stadium in Manhattan (there was no way that was going to happen) and now has gotten a deal in place for a state of the art stadium as equal partners
Maxman
Didn't see it. Pictures anyone? BZ It was a HUGE sign. He held it up most of the game. That is why they didn't put him on the Big Screen. No way they are going to let that happen. But a small jetnation.com plug, I am thinking we can make that happen! Green DNA
What did the sign say? BZ On one side it said "Keep your word Woody" and on the reverse it said "Jets fans deserve their own stadium" (or something to that effect).

Bugg
When do all these NYC stadium guys give it up already? Johnson tried and failed, due more to the fecklessness and stupidity of NY politicians than any failing of his. He couldn't do any more. So he made the best of it with the NJSEA and the Jints. Fault Johnson for staying with this FO and CS. But as to the whole stadium thing, what else could he possibly do? How much more of his time and money should he waste on the likes of Joe Bruno and Sheldon Silver and all thes other douchebags who will always keep changing the rules in the middle of the game? State numbers on the cash and hours on the effort. In 1998 when this team won 12 games and went to the AFC title, or in 2002, the fact that the stadium was in NJ didn't matter a bit. Maxman
If the Jets were playing in NY this year I think their record would be much better. 3 or 4 wins would certainly be within reach.
aec4
Simple solution. Revoke his tickets immediately. However, the media will kill the Jets for that. Ok, so do not revoke them, but make him PAY full price. We all know he gets them for free, so make him pay. If he pays, he can hold any sign he wants. I promise, make him pay, and we'll never see him again.

stormshadow19
Are you suggesting that Max is Michael Irvin, or his crack-stem-toting Thanksgiving pal fresh out of rehab? I think that it's implied that Max, while not 6'3", black, a potential NFL HOF'er, and high as a kite for most of his pro career, but is whacked out enough to wear a mustard yellow suit on national tv.
4HCrew
I would like to see the Jets reaction to his "stunt" at the next game. My thinking is the sign will not make another appearance.

What a crazy year for the Jets though. I was sitting with some friends who are not Jets fans. They just couldn't believe the problems this organization is having right now! It's about time they let him shop for the groceries. From the P.R. dept to scouting....Herm needs final say. If this year has proved one thing, its that a promotion is in order.
