Isn't Scott pretty much already locked in to the roster for a pretty big chunk of change this season? Seems odd they would add another ILB into the fold on top of that unless they think they can get him on the cheap. Of course, the fact that he's still sitting around after 4 days of FA maybe leads the Jets to believe that's a very real possibility.

I know he is a run stuffer who does the dirty work, but is McLain any better than Scott in coverage?

Only makes sense if Bart is gone. To be honest, if we signed Landry and Nelson I'd rather have that than 1 new Safety and McLain...
