The NY Jets have cemented themselves as the biggest embarrasment in the NFL.

You don't give the kind of money they gave to Sanchez and the guarantees to take the ball out of his hands 10+ snaps a game.

Sanchez is being paid like a top 10 QB while playing like a bottom 5 QB and now being treated like a bottom 5 QB.

You want the ball out of Sanchez's hands... Take it. But don't pay him like a guy who whould be top 10 to hand the ball off and stand on the sidelines while Tebow wins you regular season games against defenses that can't tackle.

Whats the difference between Sanchez handing off more or throwing Tebow in there for a couple of wrinkles?

How do they possibly square this with all their happytalk about Sanchez? Meanwhile Brees is holding out, the Saints are about to be docked picks and these idiots are in no position to offer #1s and steal a real QB. DISGRACEFUL.

It's a damn shame. With the penalties levied against NO, the stars finally line up for us to steal a franchise QB and the FO anally rapes this team again. No lube. No kiss.

To think the Jets would have landed Brees in any situation is delusional.

Brees has been franchised and as per hsi agent will not report until thw week before the season without a new contract. The GM and head coach are out until week 9 and next season, respectively. The Saints will be docked 2 #2s and a pile of money and cap room. This was a perfect storm to try and pick their pocket for 2 #1s. And instead Bozo the GM is overpaying 2 guys who cannot throw a forward pass and half a million to Drew Stanton. But lucky us-by sheet incompetence he may get out from under on JesusBack.

With Tebow running wildcat there's 10 blockers. With Sanchez handing off there's only 9. that's why it's such a dangerous formation, even when the defense knows it's coming.

The fact that you're making a big deal out of Sanchez being the leader of the team, paying him like a top QB, and then treating him like he's one of the worst. It's an admission that he sucks while paying him not to.

it's not an admission he sucks. It's a challenge to be better. Even if this trade doesn't go thru, it certainly sends a message. Sanchez probably worked out extra hard today. Or they will replace him.

It's as if this organization is so desperate to end the SuperBowl drought, that every time you think there's a plan to build upon, they can't resist the urge to make gimmicky moves that destroy any potential for the futre plan.

At least with extending Sanchez, they were committing to his development. Now, Sanchez will most likely play out 2 years, disgruntled and hoodwinked, and gone in 2014.

I need to hear a statement out of Rex immediately as to what is "The Plan". Squelch that there is no QB controversy here. Sanchez is our guy and Tebow is here as a situational player, err, gimmick, exclusively.

No, it's not. You're not bringing Tebow in to replace Sanchez. You're bringing Tebow in to take snaps away from him. The Jets decided that this will be their offense will involve significant wildcat formations because they don't believe in Sanchez.

Haha This is stupid. The one place they DONT need help is in the redzone in short yardage. Sanchez had 6 rushing TD's?? So take away what he DOES do well?

This is woody/Tanny's answer to the Giants superbowl and Linsanity. Period. This kid is a sideshow.

One thing and one thing only can extinguish this raging fire of idiocy they've created..........Mark Sanchez will start and finish the year in the top ten of QBs and will get to his first pro-bowl. If not for that, this team is finito.

Do you guys REALLY want Tebow running the offense?? haha Why did they get rid of Brad Smith (at least he could throw)

I dont want him running the offense, but most of our Redzone success came from Plaxico and he's gone
