Bugg Posted December 5, 2005 Share Posted December 5, 2005 3rd down; Pats get a gift of a pass completion called to get the first down; Bellichick IMMEDIATELY realizes that it's barely(and probably not) a completion and calls it into the headset, Brady knows to call the Pats to the line and run a play,and they run a QB sneak for a big gain. No chance to review it. And the Pats go on to score and lock the game up.It wasn't the play that made the game, but it was the difference between Bellichick and Edwards in a clutch spot-Bellichcick is so far ahead of what's going on that it's a huge advantage. Edwards has that whole committee on the sideline confer like it's a Senate debate rather than just one guy he trusts telling him to throw or not throw the red flag.Everyone gets their say, all at once. It's total chaos. Somebody on staff that is given that job puts in Bellichick and Brady's headset that it's not a catch, and they're at the line.
