SMC
Sad. Hate to see a great player go down like that. Hopefully he can come back at his elite level because the prospect for a CB returning to prior form after an ACL tear is not good.

SMC
Should position the Jets well for next year's draft. Jet fans should be hoping for 2 things, first, that Revis returns to form and, second, that they end up having a good year so it lowers Revis' contract demands for the extension. stoicsentry
Rex really does look depressed. He's saying this like, "well... Isiah Trufant and Ellis Lankster are gonna have to step up..." like one might say, "well, I might win the lotto tomorrow morning..."

Damaged89
Should position the Jets well for next year's draft. This. Should also position me for some flexibility regarding my schedule on Sundays since the Jets just went from painful to watch to depressing. stoicsentry
Watch the Patriots go on to drop like 5 more games this season, opening the door wide for us to take the division but without Revis - the Bills end up winning it. OUCH
SoFlaJets
This feels like one of those seasons when Joe Namath would be lost for the year with his knee-you know WAY before 90% of you guys were born...it's always the Jets

stoicsentry
The prospect of this ... is a hollow feeling in the pit of my stomach I know, Rex sounded so depressed saying it, like he realized how dumb it sounded but was required to say it anyway. SMC
The Jets lost Jenkins early in 2009 and everyone thought the defense would fall apart. Remember, back then he was considered the best defender on the team. Other defenders have to step up and Rex has to coach his butt off, but it can be done. RSJ
Luckily we have Cromartie. Most teams dont even have him. Hopefully we can get better at stopping the run and getting the offense off the field on 3rd downs.

stoicsentry
SO there's 22 starters on the team. WHY do we have to lose the #1 out of all of them for the year??????? It's funny we would all be dealing with this injury better if it was our "franchise QB" rather than this cornerback...
slats
Jet fans should be hoping for 2 things, first, that Revis returns to form and, second, that they end up having a good year so it lowers Revis' contract demands for the extension. I was chuckling to myself in the speculation thread about how maybe this injury might lower his contract demands. The defense just shifted from very good to average. I feel really bad for the people who already thought the defense sucked.
Il Mostro
Look for as blitz-o-rama in an attempt to create enough pressure so that the secondary is not exposed for what it is. What else can they do?
Bleedin Green
It certainly sucks and not what you want to hear at all, but it's not completely cut and dry. This is going to change the Jets defensive approach and game plans, and hopefully that gives some other guys an opportunity to step up and help fill-in for that loss. It's not like the Jets are suddenly going to start throwing Wilson in single coverage against opposing teams best WRs and keeping everything else the same. They're obviously much better off with Revis, but hopefully the impact doesn't end up being as dramatic as it could be. Of course, this is only one more reason that the offense (i.e., Sanchez) needs to get their sh*t together ASAP.

Yeah, the D, even with Revis this year was top 15 good rather than Rex insisting they're top 5 good. Without Revis they're still in mid teens.
