Joe Klopfenstein, TE, Colorado

From the CU official website:

403 pounds in the bench press

38-inch vertical jump

standing long jump (10-0 feet)

the 40-yard dash (4.53, which was sixth best on the team)

the squat (504 lbs.),

the power clean (315 lbs.)

Nice stats, on a poor offense, with a bland QB, so he not just a workout freak:

********

He might be the 2nd TE picked, don't laugh.....I know Air Force Jet likes this player a ton.

Junior Vern Davis is said to be about 6' 2", so unless he finds a team that uses the H-Back (like Dallas Clark did with the Colts), he can fall behind Joe.

I suppose Pope might go higher, but some scouts think his blocking needs work and he needs to fill out a bit -- stay 1 more season at Georgia.

We'll see..

If no Jolley deal happens, this Klop could've been an excellent 2nd rounder, if he projects that high (or doesn't go round 1).

"Patriot fans will say Watson has improved this season and will be a bigger factor down the line for the team as a receiver. They might be right this time".

Ben Watson has had a great year.

The Pats need to find a way to keep him more involved (he always seems to have a great 1st half and then they don't throw to him) in the entire game.

Watson could be the Pats ace-in-the-hole come playoff time.
