SO WHY THE VERBAL ASSAULTS ON HIM?!!
I don't care how large or big the verbal assault is, or if it was weeks ago - the point is that this is not the way a team is supposed to be! REX RYAN NEEDS TO PUT HIS FOOT DOWN AND NIP THIS IN THE BUD ASAP!!

The thing that is so laughable about this, is how completely clueless you are to the fact that the vast majority of those bashing Sanchez are also more than happy to bash countless players throughout this team, very much including the skill position players. The point is that regardless of what other issues this team has, the bottom line is Sanchez is still ****ing awful, and trying to argue otherwise is flat out embarrassing. Nobody is going to argue with you that the Jets need linebackers and skill position players, it's that you're one of the only ones out there still foolish enough to ignore the blatantly obvious fact that along with those needs, the Jets desperately need themselves that little thing called a quarterback to go along with them.
Yup. That INT in the endzone is the perfect example of why skill position players are irrelevant to Sanchez's abilities. The WR was wide open, he had time to throw, it was an easy throw, and he literally did everything wrong. He could have been throwing to an in his prime miracle baby of Randy Moss and Jerry Rice and the outcome would have been the same. Sanchez makes plays like that almost every week. Every week. He has never been a good QB. Pete Carrol was right.

What I find funny is that instead of reporting about the team seemingly rallying around Sanchez by not wanting Tebow in there, he writes it as a 'bash Tebow' article.
“It’s not even close,” Slauson said. “All the other quarterbacks know it. I have all the confidence in Mark. We don’t really have a choice.”
Indeed. That is the kind of rallying you want to see!

^ You said it! This is NOT O.k. To publicly ridicule a hard working and righteous players. He's not out there getting drunk, he's not out there with 10 kids and getting DUI's - He's doing the best that he can given the situation!

If Tebow was found during the week he blowing down lines off of underage hookers asses while driving drunk on his way to perform a back alley abortion and he could play well, most of us would prefer him to the "righteous" guy we have now.

Just wanted to echo how unlikable this team has become from top-to-bottom. I'm generally a "root for the laundry" type, but when the laundry is filled by individuals who aren't particularly good at being football players or decent human beings, it's tough to overlook.
Really have to agree with this, particularly the latter. I think you can say what you may about Tebow as a player by now, but he's played the good soldier through some clear ups and downs the past year and at the very least he's earned the right to not be trashed behind his back anonymously to the public. Classless.
(Chandler)'s a nice piece as long as he's the 7th most important player on your roster....I think they're going to be disappointed when they see he's just a pumped-up Drew Gooden.

This kid did nothing but give +110%, was a positive influence, and tried to help in anyway he could to earn his money as a Jet. Too bad a lot of his teammates are a bunch of D list chancres that would have splinters in their asses anywhere else in the NFL if they indeed had contracts. And are only playing as Jets due to gross ineptitude in all levels of management.
I don't think you'll be in the pro's long Tim - but thanks for showing class while you were here. It really stood out because most all the other activity was low grade.

And as much as Rex is to blame, it (yet again) ultimately falls on the FO. We spend three years digging up every dipsh*t choir boy for Mangini, and the second he walks out the door, we swap them out for every bad actor available and give them full media access because REX CAN REACH ANYONE. It's obvious that that lack of accountability for Sanchez that you always talk about applies to every player. Do what you want, say what you want, play as bad as you want. If you're one of Rex's Guys™, you're set for life. I mean, Greg ****ing McElroy was throwing shade last summer, and as far as I can tell, no one has so much as sat Rex down and told him to put a leash on his dogs.
The only hope we have is that there's some accountability for the coach and GM, but would you count on that? I sure as sh*t wouldn't.

I would feel much more confident in giving up on players, I felt that they were getting the proper coaching and instructions to make them better.
WWho on teh jets staff does that?

It's obvious you've lost your faith in this regime but the facts are unchanged.
They've been more successful than at any other point you've been a fan and they have yet to have a losing season. Perhaps you're letting your emotions get the better of you.

I don't know. Neither do you, our anyone else that posts here. All we know is what we see in the game. The rest is just (mostly baseless) hope that an easy replaceable part, a coach, is the reason we suck because that's easier to handle than the reality that thus team has very few good players...
With Revis out, Mangold is or best player... A center is our best player... That's really awful.

the only thing this tells me is that tannenbaum really needs to be fired for this. how on earth do you go into a season without a viable option for QB2???
same type of mentality that lead to extending sanchez... i believe rex when he says he believes cause he believes... no other reason the blind faith

Yeah, I'm totally gay
So ****ing this dude. Unreal.

Every player right now has to be considered an "asset". The Jets hold these assets and would be doing their organization the best interest in determining of these assets are useful in the future, or should be discarded.
I do not trust the current staff in place to do that evaluation.
Then, once you determine that you actually have assets of use, you need someone that can mold them to fit their talents, and bring their talent to fruition. I definitely don't trust anyone on this staff to do that.
To resurrect this franchise properly, the proper decision makers need to be in place. That is not here right now. Then we can decide which players stay.
LOL ignorance is bless.
