THE ILK
Woody Johnson is in McElroy’s corner, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. The Jets owner was thought to be a staunch Tebow supporter, though there is some question about the wildcat specialist’s health as he recovers from two cracked ribs. “I’m told owner Woody Johnson prefers Greg McElroy to be starting QB,” Mehta tweeted Tuesday. “GM Mike Tannenbaum & OC Tony Sparano prefer Mark Sanchez this week.” http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2012/12/04/braylon-rips-idiots-calling-shots-for-jets-woody-favors-mcelroy/ So who are the diots? Scott Dierking
This is like a game of pass the hot potato in the Jet organization. Each of them are going to keep passing the decision making responsibility publicly to someone else. so no one really knows where the decision rests, and they feel there will be no culpability to pass judgment on. It's unfortunate that we can't fire an owner, but Tanny and Rex need to be gone.
Green DNA
Holy crap, no wonder this team is a mess, we've heard from everyone except the coach. Woody and Tanny need to STFU and let the coaches coach.

#27TheDominator
Um... Manish was "told." Something tells me it wasn't by Woody or Tannenbaum. He is probably questioning the people in nearby seats who heard him cheering Sunday. This is not a story. It's barely a tweet.

SMC
Interesting dynamic. Woody and Rex for Mac with Tanny and Sparano for Sanchez. Um... Manish was "told." Something tells me it wasn't by Woody or Tannenbaum. He is probably questioning the people in nearby seats who heard him cheering Sunday. This is not a story. It's barely a tweet. I can never understand the fans' need to believe that reporters make up these sources. People in such organizations want to blab. They like feeding the media stuff to get the word out. Someone privy to Woody Johnson wants the media to know his thinking so that's why that person is talking to Mehta. This leak is purposeful. It always is. He is now after Romney lost. Woody is known to get into football decisions when he isn't distracted by other things like the stadium deal or politics. Integrity28
Woody's "wants" are driven by the whatever the fans clamor for.... thus his point of view changes like the direction of the wind. Rex seems to want to defer decisions to everyone not named Rex. Tannenbaum at this point has to be in self-preservation mode, he probably has a different answer to this question for every person that asks him. Slimey ****. Who cares what Sparano wants? Really. Rex is let off the hook, and never appears to have abandoned Sanchez after spending 3 and a half seasons telling everyone that would listen that Mark is "his guy" and that he'll "roll with Mark no matter what". The Jets think everyone is stupid and they try to do this deceptive, manipulative stuff to dictate perception, except it is grossly transparent - which just makes them look like idiots and scheming liars. bitonti
in theory Mark is the best QB on the roster in practice, he's shot and needs to take a break. I don't think we've seen the last of mark, but I'd give him a few weeks to consider life as a backup.
Jetsfan80
in theory Mark is the best QB on the roster In theory McElroy shouldn't be able to perform better than Sanchez and Tebow due to significantly less talent. In actuality, McElroy probably has the best pocket presence and may be the best QB on the roster. Pretty sad.

Bugg
We know way too much about and see way too much of Woody Johnson. Go run a charity. Have an unexpressed thought. SMC
How can you believe anything coming from this organization is my question? Not that I believe anything the media puts out there either. You're right. We can't believe anything coming from this organization, but the point is not whether they believe it to be true, but whether they put it out there. This info was leaked for a reason. Someone in the organization wants it out there.
bmd71
Whoever backs Sanchez as the starter for Sunday needs to be fired. McElroy needs to be given a chance. The Jets organization should know by now what they have in Sanchez. Time to move on.
