This makes sense. If something happens to McElroy you want someone who is an actual QB to be ready. Unlike we've had most of the season.

Most of the season we've started a player that throws for a lower completion percentage and turns the ball over more, than Tim Tebow.

The "real QB" comments and arguments are irrelevant given the context of what we have on the roster. Tebow, while statistically unimpressive, is still less of a detriment to the team than Sanchez based on his career numbers. If he was allowed to run a play other than the 3 predictable wildcat players, then he'd face something other than constant blitzing and possibly be able to sustain a level of offense we haven't had here all year.
