When did Sanchez change his # to 14?

QB has to block for himself? If Sanchez got sacked 11 times he would have fumbled the ball away on 6 of them and thrown the ball to a defensive lineman on at least 2. McElroy is a career back up at best, but at least he held on to the ball and completed the check-downs -- Sanchez would have been good for an interception or two. Truth is, Brick has been an average to below average LT all year and even Mangold has slipped. Then you have the RT situation. Cherry on top is the way the team has phucked with Slauson, who is the least of our O-line problems, by running Vlad in and out of the lineup.

I don't know what is sadder, that our GM went into a seaosn with this set of offensive players, or that our 4 year veteran looks like a first start rookie, or that they traded for a back up QB they won't play even in an emergeny

the jets have done something historically unprecedented tho

they traded up for, and gave an extension to, a QB that they ;

can't play for fear of riots

can't trade because of contract

can't cut because of contract

lololololololol

Wow, just WOW. What a joke.....10 sacks? COME ON MAN...I saw nothing different at the QB position. They need to get someone here next season or it is gonna be ugly

First of all it was 11 sacks. Secondly you missed a key stat which doesnt surprise me- 1 fumble and one rookie interception. Mark wouldve had five int under that kind of pressure. Its not the QBs fault. If anything blame him for missing Braylon wide open which wouldve probably set up a td or fieldgoal and changed the tide of the whole game. I know you love mark but at least be fair.

Not defending Sanchez, but Mc looked terrible and as far as thr sacks and fumbles, Mc had 2 fumbles except one was on 4th down and even Sanchez never got sacked 11 times. This isnot a Sanchez lovefest, it just shows that ALL our QB's suck.

McElroy is a 7th round pick starting his first NFL game, and his first regular season game in 3 years. Sanchez is a top-5 pick with a shiny new contract for countless millions and has been an NFL starter for 4 years. That McElroy was (even if marginally) better than Sanchez says plenty. But first and foremost it says Mark Sanchez is the worst piece of useless garbage in the NFL.

regarding the pass protection, if the other team knows you can't handle pressure or beat the blitz they smell blood. the Jets offense is hurt by the lack of a QB, not the quality of the offensive line. Nick Mangold is great. Brick is very good. There aren't many better in the business. the fact is no one gets 5 seconds in the NFL (and good QB's don't need it). Greg and Mark both stare down receivers and take the sack after the 1 read doesn't work out.
