Trading for Sanchez LMAO, i just bought a pig that flies too mon

ya agree, highly doubtful anyone wants to trade for him. Our only hope is someone thinks a 7th rounder is worth it to get him basically for free as opposed to risking waiver wire.

ive seen scenarios where the Jets have to give a pick to a team to take Sanchez. that's how low his value has gotten.

My posts have to get worse, so they can get better.

not true. If someone truly thinks he is a viable low cost backup they may not want to risk losing him as a free agent to some other team. A 7th rounder may be worth it to them to get him as veteran backup as opposed to losing him on open market.

Alex Smith is available this year for $1 million.

So, I was coming in here to do laugh and say, "only the Jets", but did this turn into who's the best "draft specialist" out there to bring into replace Tanny? Good luck, they all suck for the most part.

There are a select few drafters and play designers/planners/callers and GMs who know The Right Way and are rarely, if ever, wrong. The Jets refuse to find and hire from that group. It is always obvious who those guys are - look for the Flawless Ones. They breathe, eat, and sleep Football and are known as Football Men, the greatest race of man.

IMO, the one hope would be the guy from Baltimore. DeCosta. Presumably they were reaching out to him because of the Baltimore ties. In that case, he might be a GM that would want to keep Rex. If Rex actually gets along with Tanny that might allow them to find a way to keep Tannenbaum around without it hurting too bad. The guy still needs autonomy and I think that his work in Baltimore probably warrants it. I like the guys we have now, but forcing guys to keep pieces around is a recipe for disaster - see Schottenheimer, B.

Sounds like DeCosta would just be part of the expansion of the FO. I wouldn't mind that.
