Well, he has officially surpassed Herm. It's almost impressive if you think about it.

He's not getting fired though.
Tank for Teddy.

I guess they want to diss Tebow one last time- not that I think he is a good QB but they should have gave him the start in Buffalo

Actually I think a brain injury makes McElroy MORE qualified to lead this team. It puts him on the same level as the coaching staff and management.

Please don't insult Greg, it would take a lobotomy to put him on their level.

Jets-fate: Sanchez plays great/wins game. Jets go from 8 to 15 in draft. Rex says 'I discovered what Mark was doing wrong. 2013 will be great'

There is literally no other possible outcome.

funny how Sanchez is predicted to be awesome in games that the Jets need to lose but predicted to be terrible in games they need to win. Chances are he will be what he has been, and that draft slot is safe.

Why not? Chad did it for years

btw Mark Sanchez is clearly the best QB on the Jets. I know that's not saying much but lost in all this talk about who rex started and when is the fact that it never really mattered. Rex is not brain dead. He knows who his best QB is. It's not an answer any of us (except courtney) like. But we can't really blame Rex for incompetence in handling the position, after seeing McElroy.

this is why I support a tanny firing but not a rex firing. I know a new GM would want his own HC and that's fine but it's the decision to draft and extend Mark Sanchez that was the most damaging to this franchise. Not Rex figuring out who to start. it was 3 bad options and it's not crazy to believe Mark was the least bad option.

I'm calling shenanigans on this one actually. This seems like the easy answer, but it's probably because if Tebow were to go out and play remotely well, the backlash from the fans and media would be pretty, pretty, really bad.

(Chandler)'s a nice piece as long as he's the 7th most important player on your roster....I think they're going to be disappointed when they see he's just a pumped-up Drew Gooden.

Agreed. Said it when they chose McElroy. They are avoiding that backlash at all costs. And rightfully so, IMO. If he wins, then they are committed to him next season and then what?

Oh ****sake, you're so right. This is all going to happen. Sanchez lights it up. Everyone comes back to try again.

I think it's a little of both. Tebow's clearly not on the team next year, so there's no sense in giving him a start when you can try to get Sanchez back on his feet.... but if Tebow went in and played well, Ryan would be roasted(and rightly so) for not making the switch much earlier. No one likes to be second guessed.
