I Have A Bad Bad Feeling

I tend to think nothing imminent is coming either. I think the Woody news is going to be the equivalent of the guys being on double secret probation while he conducts a thorough search that amounts to no real changes but a public discussion of how this is now a more comprehensive personnel scouting staff and that while Mr. T maintains the GM position there is more distribution of decision making power for the draft and free agency.

Outside of the draft (which is a worry right now since the Jets need good players) there probably isnt any harm in leaving the two guys there to hang themselves trying to fix the cap of the team rather than having a new GM come in and people blaming him for 2013 and 2014 being bad.

While this is likely, one of the worst possible things for a franchise to do is leave a lame duck embattled GM in place along with an equally tenuously positioned HC because they will make moves to save their own skins rather than in the longterm benefit of the franchise.

Rather than doing the smart thing like trading Revis for draft picks, Tanny will be more likely to trade 1st and 2nd rounders to bring in marginal players to sneak in a WC appearance next year.

Not at all. Where has he cast blame to save his job like Rex?

The one HC job Belichick didn't have a future HOF QB, he got fired. And he was on the hotseat after giving Bledsoe a $100 million contract and starting the 2001 season 0-2.

So don't act like Belichick and Rex are in any comparable situation other than when BB was in Cleveland. He got fired and had to build up his resume with the Jets, along with his bank account taking Hess' $1 million to stay on to be HC once Parcells stepped down.

This is just a bad comparison. Brady wasn't a HOF QB when the Patriots won their first super bowl. He wasn't even that good. He had what, 150 Yards passing and 1 TD? Since when is that a HOF QB? Did he turn the ball over? No, but that first super bowl was because of the Patriots defense and Adam V not Tom Brady. He had a nice drive that resulted in a 50 yard field goal. In a 20-17 game against one of the greatest offenses in the history of the NFL. To not give BB any credit and give it all to Brady is a bit ridiculous. Saying BB cheated and taped practices is another thing. But don't say Brady was some HOF QB those first few years. He was a good QB, but he wasn't really 'Great' until that Carolina Super Bowl and then his 50 TD season in 2007.

It's just Brady gets all the credit for super bowl wins during a time when the Patriots had a good defense. Ever since the pats have become an offensive team, they haven't won a super bowl. They've become the Colts when everybody said Manning couldn't win a big game.

Further about HoF QB; Bellicheat had a damn good QB in Testaverde with the Browns. Vinny had 2 Pro Bowls in his future. Testaverde had a borderrline HoF career. Had the Jets broken through in 1998 or had he not gotten injured in 1999....

You forget his defense was built by the previous regime, he didn't draft Ty Law, Teddy Bruschi, McGinnest, Ted Johnson, Lawyer Milloy, ect.. these were all BILL PARCELLS draft picks, and also Terry Glenn, who was not Parcells pick, and probably the reason why he decided to jump ship from the Pats after 1996, he couldn't take being told what to do with his 1st round pick, and he was to proud to forget that, and that could be where the relationship with him, and the Pats first started to waiver.

Its so weird that there's no talent on offense when all they spend is $20 million a year on 2 CB's alone. If Rex was such a brilliant defensive coach he could do it with a lot less money then the Jets spend on their defense, particularly their DB's. Then maybe we could afford an OL, WR or QB.

It's not like they didn't spend money on offense. Sanchez and Holmes swallowed $17M of cap space this year alone. Their OL is very well paid. It's just that they're not good.

giovanni bernard is possibly the only rd 1 RB this year. Alot depends on how he runs and medical exams on the combine

Glennon seems like a late 1 early 2 to me, if he is awesome at Senior Bowl. I've seen some projects that have him as the best QB in the class.

You think Jets interested in either/both?

The one HC job Belichick didn't have a future HOF QB, he got fired.

He got fired by an idiot who sold his soul so he could move his team.

BBs staff included Ozzie Newsome, Nick Saban, Kirk Ferentz, Thomas Dimitroff, Pat Hill, et al. A dream team management and coaching staff assembled by Belichick. The Ravens had 2 1ST round picks their first season thanks to BB. One 1st was used to draft Ray Lewis.

And he was on the hotseat after giving Bledsoe a $100 million contract and starting the 2001 season 0-2.

False

Kraft wanted to give Beldsoe that contract. One of the reasons why Kraft hired BB was that he would include Kraft on what was going on with the team and wouldnt sign players to contracts without consulting Kraft like Parcells did. Kraft didnt give BB Carte Blanche after what happened with Parcells until he stuck with Brady over Bledsoe.

BB was sick of Bledsoe. Especially after he disappeared in Montana and wouldnt call the Pats about his contract status in 2001. Bledsoe was lazy, not good at reading defenses and terrible at sticking to the game plan.

So don't act like Belichick and Rex are in any comparable situation other than when BB was in Cleveland.

Of course they arent comparable situations.

BB never cried like toesucker Rex. That big blowhard wouldnt know how to build a coaching staff or front office.

He got fired and had to build up his resume with the Jets,

LOLZ

BBs resume already included 2 Super Bowl rings and another Super Bowl appearance in 1996.

along with his bank account taking Hess' $1 million to stay on to be HC once Parcells stepped down.

False again.

Hess gave BB 1 Million to stay on in 1999 because the Jets were getting inquiries about BB interviewing for a HC position. The 1 million was for BB to stay in 1999. Not payment as a NFL HC.
