The Rangers want you to beleive every  goalie they face is suddenly the reincarnation of Billy Smith crossed Ken Dryden.

Right.

What a joke.

Well at least your guy is on his way back.

The New York Rangers are reportedly bringing back Norwegian forward Mats Zuccarello.

According to multiple sources, Zuccarello has agreed to terms on a contract with the Rangers. The club will now await his release from his current team in the KHL, the Magnitogorsk Metallurg.

The 5-foot-7, 161-pound wing produced 11 goals, 28 points and a plus-5 rating in 44 games for Metallurg this season. He played 42 games with the Rangers in 2010-11, posting six goals and 23 points, and 10 more games the following season when he compiled two goals and three points.

Zuccarello, born in Oslo, Norway, was originally signed to a two-year, entry-level contract by the Rangers in May, 2010. He's also spent 73 games with the Rangers' American Hockey League affiliate, the Connecticut Whale, posting 25 goals, 65 points and a plus-7 rating.

The Rangers should trade Gabby and Richards at the deadline!

Does not look like this is their year, and they would be best served to get out from under those contracts if they could.

Gaborik is not a Tort's guy, he does not fit this system, and right now Stepan is 10x the player Richards is.

Willing to think that Richards can still pull it together. he looked great on Kreider's goal.

If they could, right now, trade Gaborik for Prust, done.Tha Habs would laugh at that offer.

Rangers are 7-0 when Stepan plays on Nash's line.

Unless you think they can make a cup run, I would trade them both now.

Crazy as it sounds the Rangers will not be sellers at the trading deadline. Lundquist is still the best goalie, and Fleury can still implode like he did last spring. You look at the Flyers and have to wonder what the hell happened to the Pens last spring. The Kings were in roughly the same position in their conference last spring as the Rangers are now.

All true, but unless those guys start playing like they could put us over the top, I would entertain offers.

They just are not worth their cap hits right now, and the Rangers have allot of young talent they are going to have to resign.

Ron Burkle clearly possesses photos of Gary Bettmann consorting with farm animals. Salary cap....look over therE! SQUIRREL!

The Pens are still under the cap. Most everything is prorated. And don't forget Crosby and Malkin took much less money than the max to stay and win cups.

On paper, very true. Reality-I dunno. Cindy is featured in every NHL media campaign. How does that money imapct the cap, if at all.

Rangers signed Fast and Zuke to....any idea? If these guys can rpvide any offense they should play. The NHL has figured out the shotblocking fad. The Rangers need goals. Also, when Chris Neil runs The King for the 45th time in 2 years, might want to take 5 minutes to let him know it won't go unpunished.

Looks like Hank is losing patience with this sh*t now!

It's getting really old that every goalie they face is this great. And it's not true; they don't go to the net, they don't screen the goalie and they don't bother trying to clean up rebounds in front, which is how most NHL goals get scored these days.nash jhas repeateldy thrown blind passes to the front of the net ebcause every toerh team has a guiy standing there looking for a quick tip in. NOBODY on the Rangers drives to the net.  There aren't a lot of pinpoint tape to tape passes to a perfect shot. Witness the few goals the King gives up and they are mostly tip ins or close in shots he doesn't see because of a screen. Dave Maloney on the radio side is telling the truth; this lack of offense is disgraceful. I like Rosen and Michelletti, but the idea that the problem is not blocking shots is total crap. If you cannot put up 2 or 3 goals a night what ever the King does or doesn't do doesn't really figure into it.  And worse-Lundquist is being checked out for concussion-like symptoms.

Are they being coached to play this way or rebelling?

It really is a joke already!

Well so far so good, I like what they did, and maybe Richards is finally going to wake up!

2 assists for him, with Brassard picking up a nice assist, and now a goal by Clowe, who also has an assist.

Derek Brassard has a huge upside, Derek Dorsett is a bruiser, and John Moore is D that can skate!

LETS GO RANGERS!!!

Huge Back to Back with Toronto tonight.

They are 2 points behind Ottawa for the sixth seed and 4 behind Toronto for the 5th seed.

I think the Rangers are better suited getting the sixth seed and playing Washington in the first round, rather than playing the Bruins if they got the 5 seed.
