bitonti
it was never gonna end well. that scenario... spend your whole career in one uniform, win rings etc, and then switch it up in year 10+. Never works. Joe Namath on the Rams as a worst case. Joe Montana on the Chiefs as a best case. Brett Farve on the Jets or Vikings a middle ground. It's interesting for sure but it always ends like this. the real story was Joey Flacco throwing 60 yard bombs in the thin air. What an arm that guy has. slats
If the Broncos don't cut him before the last day of the league year, they'll owe Peyton another $40M guaranteed over 2013 & 2014. They deserved to lose for their cowardice and their stupidity. Champ Bailey had a game from hell. Not sure how Jack DelRio keeps getting employed in the NFL; the as clueless white Herman Edwards but with less brains. One thing the Jets and everyone else should grasp; you have to pass and score points to win.

SayNoToDMC
Is this serious? Yeah, we already got a QB who's proven his greatness in playoff situations. Why would we waist our time/resources on a washed up, has been, choke artist? Woody was smart telling him to buzz off.

This is why Manning is not in the Same discussion as a Joe Montana or a Terry Bradshaw or a Tom Brady since those guys dont choke when talking GOAT Manning is a regular season wonder,,,, playoff crapper Not sure what you meant with the Flacco comment but Flacco does have a great arm and thin air does make the ball travel further. I'd be surprised if the Broncos didn't sign up for two more years of Manning, and... 2.) There's no way the Jets should go after him if they don't. Jets need to clear cap space right now, not add a 37 year old QB for $20M/year.
Sperm Edwards
Flacco's throw to Jones sucked and was underthrown to the point where Jones had to stop running altogether. Luckily for Baltimore the coverage was even worse than the throw. Mediocre coverage would have resulted in an incomplete pass. Good coverage and it's picked off. Manning's pick-6 pass was a better thrown ball. His earlier bomb to Smith was an awesome throw, though. Denver should give us a 1st in 2013 plus a 2nd in 2014 (or vice versa) for one of our CBs after their season went down the tubes like that. Whatever. Not like I give a crap about either of these 2 teams. Gotta say, though, it was an exciting friggin' game.
faba
It would be all moot if Denver's safety did not committ the worst play. Great game to watch nice to see some offense after a full season of Jets offensive futility
Matt39
We have zero good players on offense. It wouldnt have made us a contender. Watching the other teams play these playoff games makes it abundantly clear how awful the Jets personnel on offense really is. Every player on the 49ers offense would start for the Jets. Had the Broncos played at the end of either half for a field goal. They had 3 TOs at the end of the 1st and 2 at the end of regulation, each with the ball about 30 yards form FG range with roughly 30 seconds left in both cases, Or the safety been deeper and either made even a tackle in bounds or even interfered with the receiver., Tne Broncos, with any of those variables, win.Statictically to lose a playoff or any game when you have 2 special TDs is hard to do. neckdemon
is this thread serious? peyton probably going to win mvp and cpoty. 30 secs, 3 timeouts and that pussy fox doesnt try for a fg and instead has manning take a knee? broncos defense is what really sh*t the bed yesterday. yeah manning made a bad decision and throw but the game never should have been in OT to begin with. the jets and us should pray we can ever have a qb as good as manning. but alas we will forever be subjected to complete wastes and bums like sanchez, kellen clemens, brooks bollinger, rick mirer, glenn foley and tebow. the best we can say is we caught lightning in a bottle with interceptaverde in '98 and had a noodle-armed china doll and picked o'brien over marino. oh yeah, 40 something years ago we won a superbowl before it was even the superbowl and the qb who brought us that triumph can be seen lately getting plastered and trying to kiss reporters on national tv or trashing the current team as he walks around with his pants pulled up to his nipples. oh yeah......thank god woody told manning to get lost :/

You and neck are collectively correct. Not really clear who made the decisions at the end of the halves, but Manning must've ahd some input. But above all, DelRio not having at least 1 saftye waaaaaay deep with 8 people in coverage is so derelict it's ridiculous. Even if they complete the pass, if you keep him in bounds the Ravens with no timeouts would've been hardpressed to get in the endzone with figure 18-20 seconds left aftert the ball got set.
