Thought this was pretty cool. May explain why our Special Teams was so crappy this season.

According to that, the only difference between us that made the big overall numbers difference is we spent $6 million less which should have been used towards Specials. We still sucked and they didn't.

Fail by everyone. Special teams in terms of kicker and punters. Oakland has a high number from having the highest paid kicker and punter combo.

So a newspaper in UK has a better breakdown than any i have seen. And they do not even play the sport. Its like NYPOST reporting on cricket salary comparison's.

I agree with you but the Jets can not replace 3 LB's in one draft , cut two

if you look at the depth this team has had in the past, compared to now, its obvious why our specials has declined over the past few years. Remember the contributions of players like Wright, Ihedigbo, Smith .... Every good special teams player we had was let go because all our money was tied up in starters that sucked. Just like this organization sh*t on the offensive skill players it sh*t on players who were big on special teams as well. Paying players like Harris Brick and Holmes 10 mil per is part of the problem

I remember reading that Harris was the highest paid LB’er in the NFL. I like Harris, but c’mon. What the hell was Tannenbaum thinking.

Pace, and Scott are gone, but Harris can’t be cut, he cost the cap $500,000 to release. Next year he saves the cap 5 million, and a base salary that is tradable.

I wonder if we will be having a trade Harris debate this time next year?
