Why the hell not? He's a very good player.

He's finished. He's slower than Greene at this point.

Pros:

1. He can break tackles.

2. He and Holmes would make a fine pair in the locker room.

Cons:

1. He can break himself!

2. He and Holmes would make a fine pair in the locker room.

Slower.... I don't know about that. More injury prone, prob.

He's a stiff in the open field....he's taken a beating over the past 5 years.

Is it safe to say that the Giants are rebuilding their team too.

they want to resign Nicks and Cruz so they need to clear some space

he's done. can't run on bad feet.

He was the 6th best RB in the NFL according to football outsiders and he's only 26 years old. He clearly has a few more good years in him.

football outsiders and backs havent been a good indicator...they used to try and tell us Greene was actually good

Supposedly Nicks is their priority. I hope Cruz ends up how BlackDynamite should have, oozing through down the crack.

He just had a second surgery on his foot.

He breaks his own feet constantly. Nice player to have around, but not to spend money on because he isn't going to be around that much. It's no coincidence that he was fairly healthy the two times the Giants won the super bowl.

Giving Cruz big money would be beyond dumb, there is a reason the giants are paying Nicks... he's the better player.

Sad to see bradshaw go.. hell of a player for the giants, part of a huge 2007 draft class for the giants.

helped deliver 2 superbowls.. played tough and played injured

weird to see canty, bradshaw, boley gone already.. just hoping they get rid of diehl then webster

Giants are not afraid to get rid of guys they consider past prime- we give more dollars to those guys under Tanny

Nicks Cruz situation is kind of like the Wallace Brown situation in Pitt

Wallace wanted a boatload of money(as does cruz apparently)

Pitt immediately locked up brown(whom they value more)

Cruz wanted a boatload of money

NYG are trying to lock up Nicks(whom they value more)

Giants will tender cruz while trying to work on a deal.. if some team wants to cough up 8-10 mil to cruz and a 1st to the NYG then so be it.. good luck to cruz

Any NFL running back could tear his ACL on any play. The guy was great when he played last year.

You just made my point. If they can get him uber!cheap, maybe, but he won't come cheap and the Jets aren't in a position to blow money on injury prone guys. why are you going to commit any type of serious money to a guy who is going to sit 3-5 weeks a year?
