The Jets were selected by Tavon Austin as one of the teams that he will officially visit prior to the draft, according to reports from NFL.com and PFT.com.

The wide receiver from West Virginia  is believed to be the top wide receiver in the 2013 draft due to his great effort at the NFL combine and could be the dynamic play maker on offense that the Jets are looking for. Austin is expected to visit the team on Monday.

In case you are unfamiliar here is some information on Tavon Austin:

Height 5″8

Weight: 174 lbs.

40-yard dash: 4.34

20-yard shuttle: 4.01

Vert jump: 32 inches

Broad jump: 120 inches

Strengths: Great acceleration, excellent vision, not frail, can catch the under-thrown passes, good balance on the sidelines, good breakaway speed, and can block.

Weaknesses: Limited to the slot, decent hands not great, must prove that he can keep the ball after getting hit, indecisiveness on kickoff and punt returns, can be tripped up easily, and doesn’t have elite straight line speed.

NFL Comparison: Randall Cobb

Here’s some video of him from ESPN:

Top 15 is a nice way of saying he should be drafted in the 11-15 slots!
