Has a reputation for being greedy and holding out. The Jets wanted what nobody thought was worth the risk. Bucs are stupid. Since when did the Bucs, with or without Revis, become a CB away from being a super bowl team? They were a 7-9 team, not a 13-3 team one blown coverage play away from maybe making it to a super bowl(aka like the Broncos). Most teams don't have the 16mil, don't want to pay 16mil to a CB, and they probably will just wait it out to see if Revis is a free agent. Bucs didn't want to wait it out, needed to make a move, and did. Nobody goes to Bucs games, so maybe they needed to make a splash. Not sure how this does it, but it's something. Would it been great for the Jets to get more? Of course. I"m just not sure what people were expecting to get for a player everybody knew the Jets didn't want, weren't going to resign, is asking far too much money in a year teams aren't paying anything for non QBs, and he was coming off a major injury.
