I hate A-Rod and you're making me defend him. If A-Rod flipped out and destroyed a phone with a bat and almost killed Brett Gardner like Papi did with Pedroia, the media would be having a field day with him and you know it. They like Papi and he plays for the Red Sox so they're giving him a pass. That's just simply not true. If you aren't going to form your opinions in fact, then what's the point of even continuing this conversation. Did you read the article? 104 names were on the seized government list. 96 names were reported to have tested positive. The Union said the number is 83 positive tests. Not players, but tests, their woirds. Ortiz had a meeting with the union in 2004 and they said he was on the list. They did not say he tested positive due to the uncertainty of not knowing who actually tested positive. So, he did not "deny deny deny" like you said. It was not until 2009 that he was told he tested positive. At which point he admitted to being careless with supplements. So he did admit to doing something, but denied using roids. 10 years of subsequent testing and additional Olympic testing during the WBC has resulted in negative tests. Could he have lied about roids? Yes, but IMHO he gets th ebenefit of the doubt because he admitted to it and has 10 years of clean tests since his positive test.
