@AlbertBreer: Per @Gil_Brandt, and via @RVacchianoNYDN, Jets are bringing Matt Leinart and Trent Edwards in a for look in the wake of Sanchez's injury.

This tells me Mark Sanchez is injured. Many questioned all along he had a shoulder injury going back to the Ravens game.

Also, means Sanchez is done for the year.

probly best thing that can happen for the franchise moving forward at this point.....

last thing we needed was another pennington situation where sanchez plays just good enough to have the front office and coaches keep giving him chances

wow.  yeah whats that rule that anyonbe on the roster after week 1 gets the full year of any guaranteed money ?  something like that ?

not a good sign that they want to bring in a veteran rather than live with geno and mcelsack for 3 weeks

On an earlier play he was clutching the left side of his chest.  After the Austin hit he added a right shoulder.

Brilliant move by Rex - putting Sanchez on IR frees up that cap, right? We can now afford to go after Kellen Clemens!

Add John Beck to the list.

The Jets will work out free agent QBs Matt Leinart and John Beck.

Both Leinart and Beck are scheduled to work out for the Bills on Sunday. If neither signs on with quarterback-needy Buffalo, they'll try out for Gang Green. The Jets need quarterback help after Mark Sanchez left Saturday night's preseason game against the Giants with a right shoulder injury.

Wait is this serious?...I think we're all expecting the out for the season Sanchez news later but aren't Mcelroy and Simms both worth roster spots over these two??

this is how simms winds up on the pats* after they cut tebow

Why aren't you people more excited about Matt Leinart?

Why aren't the Jets embracing this as their chance to suck for Clowney alla the 2011 Colts did for Luck? Yea Clowney isn't a QB, but he is possibly the best defensive prospect to come out ever!
