Preston Howley III
You guys should check out the big board at http://www.draftdaddy.com And then look at the little board. This draft is LOADED WITH OFFENSIVE LINEMEN. I think the Jets need to try to get more draft picks in rounds one and two.
nj meadowlands
I've been saying all along that we need to trade down and draft Marcus McNeil and Deangelo Williams
Preston Howley III
I've been saying all along that we need to trade down and draft Marcus McNeil and Deangelo Williams McNeil kind of looks like Mark May: http://auburn.scout.com/2/476436.html If he plays anything like May, it's a no brainer. R44
JM, the reason the draft is loaded with O-Lineman, is for a variety of reasons (finish their education, injuries, new coaches), all the superstar juniors from the 2004 season stayed in school. It really is a loaded position, as should be running back and linebacker. Bitonti handles the big board and he loves "big players" (with some advice from me) -- hence a lot of OL's and DT's.... About 10 of those players will be cut from the board very soon, when the juniors declare for the draft. I have no problem with any of the big players on the board, except I'm, personally, very leery of Gabe Watson of Michigan -- benched due to questionable work ethic. Bit assures me all "fat players", are dubbed lazy (sterotype, like the slow white WR?) and he'll be OK. Also, I wonder if Thom Howard of UTEP isn't overrated --every time I watch them play, he pulls a houdini -- and disappears. He's sort of linebacker/safety tweener, with great workout skills, so. bitonti
remember about the big board it is a projection of worth not a projection of draft slot. The NFL has it's opinions and that's sometimes differs from DD.com. for example last years Khalif Barnes and Matt Roth were two OL/DL big boarders that we liked who didn't go as high as they were on our Board. Both are players in the league right now getting meaningful snaps. so remember there will be guys that I will fight for with R44 to "overrate" like Gabe Watson or Andrew Whitworth - even if the league "disagrees" and these guys are second rounders the big board stands by it's rank that they will be players in the league. For draft projection see the mock drafts... whenever we make em! --- overall this is an incredibly deep OL year. It's like fine wines some years are better than others, this could be a great year for OL. Get while the getting is good. also a very deep DE year, some very good LBs and RBs. Some great TE and S could declare. Not alot of great WR/CB, regardless who declares. DT is relatively scarce i see about 9 names total i'd be happy with for the Jets and half will bust. StillerPaul
Bit, i'm gonna post the addy at my Steelers forum. We have a few guys that really love getting into the draft.
R44
Thanks Paul, we love Steelers fans..... For a while, it seemed like we were getting a couple dozen surfers from State College, PA daily... Now that it's semester break, I bet those folks will be logged on from elsewhere.... Bit, I think the big board looks great -- couldn't be any better.... I think we are ahead of the curve placing Tye Hill over Jimmy Williams at CB..... But I'm seriously wondering about Thom Howard -- I think he may be a workout warrior.
