Enough!!!

Everybody keeps mentioning how we can be good next year by doing this or that. WE STINK!!! This team needs a hand grenade thrown in the locker room and whatever isn't splattered all over the wall can come to camp next year. Blow it up. Start over. Our D can't get off the field. When they do the O puts them right back out there. We stink at CB, we stink at Nickelback, we stink at DL, we stink at OL, we stink at RB, we stink at TE, and we are questionable at best at WR. Oh and our QB's stink about as bad as a crack whore's snatch after ten rounds with Tom Shane.

Our MVP is Ben Graham! A frigging punter!!! Blow this team up, get a real GM, get a real coach, and get a real plan to bring this team back to contention in 2008. If not we will be served with more and more of Bradway's peanut logs marinated in DuhHerm's special sauce.

I was thinking this at the game today. Thinking of the roster and how few parts are actually worth saving.

I fear they will bring back the coaching staff and try to make this all work again. Unless Pennington somehow finds the ability to play 16 games a season, that could be a HUGE mistake.

You forgot the most important thing-

Get a real owner.

I've been thinking lately and I posted in the game thread last nite at JI how maybe this team WOULD HAVE been better off if the Dolans got it.Granted, they are as$holes but one, they would have gotten us a stadium in the city and two-they wouldn't put up with this crap we call a front office and coaching staff.

Woody-y-y-y

Ain't that the truth. If this dilletante listens to the injury gibberish Edwards and Bradway spew and laps it up like mother's milk in 2006, we're DOOMED. It's not just injuries; the way these team drafted,is constructed, and is run, during the offseason and gamedays, is a joke. And right now, it looks like next Monday morning he will allow these 2 imbeciles to try once again to load up this Parcells nucleus for another run. 2005 has been ghastly. Why this owner needs to see a replay before canning these 2 vegetables is beyond understanding.

Knock Parcells all you want; much of it is deserved. But he saw something about Johnson he didn't like from Day 1.

Nice post.

Everyone can go besides Vilma. The defense could be worse than our offense.

This team is at least 3 years way from competing.

Woody needs to hand Ron Wolf a blank check and go from there.

This team is awful. I've never seen a defense dominated like that in my life.

you are never more than a season or 2 from being competitive and you don't need franchise QB, RB to do it.

I think there is talent on this team, and another good draft could help this organization rebound.

Herm and Terry will not scrap and rebuild. They do not have the time to invest in a new, young qb, or overhaul this roster. It can be done. Chicago and the Giants improved bad offensive lines, while also bringing in big wideouts(Muhammad and Plax)for their young qbs.

Which is exactly why they need to go. They will end up trying to plug holes for this team to save their own hides at the expense of the future of this team.

The only thing the Jets have going for them is that most of their problems are on one side of the ball, for whatever thats worth.

We are a fat NT from being a solid defense again.

Its all irrelevant though as long as Herm is roaming the sidelines.

Another totally ridiculous post.

The Jets defense is absolutely pathetic.

Did you watch the game last night?

Why do Jet fans continue to think they have a good defense when they don't?

31 consectutive plays without a 3 and out?

Give me a break.

The Jets defense is just as bad as the offense.

this teams discipline as eroded under Herm,,,

there is NO fire in this team or coach (does he EVER get pissed at a official or player who screws up?)..

Chicago Off sucks but they had a great year, NE had slews of injureies but had a decent year,,,

playin Curtis at 45% is a HUGE indictment of that neanderthal Herms idiocy,,he is a explayer who on;ly trusts veterans and doesnt have the balls to sit vets down UNLESS they are dead or in jail...

no ex players next time..

and please lets try to hire one with a OC, DC or HC background, novel idea huh...

no freakin Def backs coaches apply , and that means candidates with meaningless assistant HC positions to make thier resume look better,,,

It is now, and it's now up to management to decide whether they overestimated the "talent" on this team, or whether an influx is needed.

I am of the opinion that it is somewhere in the middle.

OK, it sounds like I'm waffling, but Barton, and McClover are solid. In fact, I am of the opinion that Barton played at a Pro Bowl level last season. He was a big loss for this team. I also think that Maddox will be a big contributor here.

I also think that DRob needs a widebody next to him. A fat, toilet clogging DT could change things immediately on this team. The fact remains that this D has been on the field far too long. I don't care what D you field, they can only do so much.

The Bears have been successful because they have played lights out on D, and Thomas Jones has been a godsend. Jones has been their best back since Neal Anderson. They also, for the first time in years, have a big, healthy offensive line, and depth.

The Jets issues all come down to a lack of depth on offense. You cannot win with average or less than at positions like qb, center, and guard. They let their line get old quickly.

You are criticizing our defense lastnight when 2 of our starting DLINEMEN were out and one of the more underrated linebackers in all of football (eric barton) was not playing. I was really expecting to dominate the patriots with Matt McChesney straight off somebodies practice squad getting the majority of the reps along with bums like legree and james reed. Yea, nice comparison genius.

When Healthy This is the same defense that was pretty good last year. The same D that went into SD last year for the playoffs and did a marvelous job against a very good offense. You know, that same Chargers offense that took the Pats to the cleaners this year?

If you watch the games, which obviously you do not, you will see that James Reed has been a major problem this year. I dont care what that fat boars head John Madden said about Reed. Reed stinks and should be a 10 snap a game guy. He Doesnt hold the line of scrimmage consistently and cannot tie up the OLINEMEN the way Fergie used to for the LBers. Its a dominoe effect on the whole defense.

Get a big run stuffing NT in there and we will be fine. You improve your Run D, it sets up the 2nd and 3rd longs and things get much mroe predictable for the offense. And of course, an offense that can run the ball and stay on teh field a little more would also help. The defense will improve instantly. Again, I said we would be a SOLID defense. Not dominant.

Now go back to taking making up jokes about Chad, Vilma and "DFAT". That's all you are good for around here anyway.

Another blind Jets fan. What a surprise.

Your team is in complete shambles, both offensively and defensively.

Did you watch the friggn' game last night?

PS- DFat really sucks.

The Jets are the friggn' laughingstock of the NFL.

Another post that adds nothing. Couldnt counter one thing I said. You pick and chose to respond to my last sentence. How weak. If you cant make fun of a player you are out of your realm. Ill say it one more time. Ill go slow for you. What do you expect from a defense starting James REED, Lance Legree and other scrubs like matt mcchesney and David ball getting significant playing time?

I have pretty much conceded that the Jet defense was NOT very good this year and I told you why and I gave my opinion to what they need to do in order to get BETTER.

If that makes me blind so be it. Coming from you, it means nothing to me anyway.

Booz,

I don't know. When I think about this, I'm just not sure. Is this team really that bad? Did we(meaning, the fans, coaching staff and front office)overrate the level of talent on this team or are they not being coached to their potential?

I look at the San Diego and Pittsburgh games, and I see a talented, physical team, capable of repeating 2004, but then I look at the KC game, and this season, and we look like the Same Old Jets.

I think the injuries played a big part in this poor season, but our O line is in the worst shape I've seen since the Kotex years. That is on Herm and Terry.

I think they can retool, if they are creative enough. No, there will not be a Tennessee Titans team to rape and hoard players from, but it can be done. Other teams do it. The Giants did it, why not us?

The only thing that really worries me is the gaping hole we have at qb. We are stuck. Unless Bradway can pull Rivers, Schaub or Volek, or strikes gold and gets a rookie qb to perform like Orton or Rotheslisberger(sp?), we are forced to depend on a brittle, two time surgery recovering Mr. Glass.
