Draft Simulator from Fanspeak

Recommended Posts

The guys over on the JI Board are going crazy over these sites. First one listed is a straight up draft simulator.

2nd one allows trades. I'll see after dinner which one I like better.

I'm not too knowledgeable on the deeper players in the draft, but maybe some of you college football followers may enjoy this. Please post your results

This will be even more fun when comp picks are announced. I did it twice, two very different approaches.

18 OLB KHALIL MACK
BUFFALO
49 CB JUSTIN GILBERT
OKLAHOMA STATE
69 WR BRANDIN COOKS
OREGON STATE
80 TE TROY NIKLAS
NOTRE DAME
111 RB KA’DEEM CAREY
ARIZONA
142 QB JIMMY GAROPPOLO
EASTERN ILLINOIS
179 S VINNIE SUNSERI
ALABAMA
210 CB PIERRE DESIR
LINDENWOOD

Last round was tough but Desir seems like an interesting developmental corner. Seems like a good combination of needs, scheme fit, and value - particularly some of the offensive guys. People would probably be unhappy going defense-defense but the next few offensive picks might make up for it.

18 TE ERIC EBRON
UNC
49 CALVIN PRYOR
LOUISVILLE
69 WR BRANDIN COOKS
OREGON STATE
80 WR PAUL RICHARDSON
COLORADO
111 DE MARCUS SMITH
LOUISVILLE
142 RB DE’ANTHONY THOMAS
OREGON
179 WESLEY JOHNSON
VANDERBILT
210 CB RASHAAD REYNOLDS

A little more offense that go around.

No way you get a 2nd from GB to move up 3 spots. Maybe a 3rd. Who did they take with that pick anyway?

Evans @ 21 and Matthews @ 51??? No way!

Would literally, then figuratively out of injury, do back-flips if your second mock happened. Ebron isn't my favorite, but still solid value from his projection, but getting arguably the 1b safety Pryor in the second and then Cooks and Richardson in the third would be fantastic.  Love Cooks and Richardson, both are very intriguing prospects.

Edit:  Didn't notice De'Anthony Thomas in the 4th, big fan of that pick. I've been saying that I'd hope we'd bring in Thomas or someone like him this year. I know he's a luxury, but if he can return punts, he'll earn a spot so that he can develop as a slot guy and scat-back, like McCluster.

I took Evans over Lee because I think Geno needs a big, Red Zone animal; and Purifoy was too good a value to pass up in Rd 2. There were, unfortunately no TE's or WR's left on the board of any value, so I didn't reach. Sankey and Jeffcoat will be good players and Garappolo was good value in the 5th. Overall, wouldn't be disappointed with this draft, but I hope Idzik can do better that I can.

That draft is so good that it almost doesn't bother me that you went defense with the top 2 picks. Wow... nice

They offered me a few unrealistic trades to move down a few spots and add some high picks so I took them.

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 24 (CINN): Darqueze Dennard, CB, Michigan State (A)
Round 2 Pick 17: Jordan Matthews, WR, Vanderbilt (A-)
Round 2 Pick 23 (CINN): Jarvis Landry, WR, LSU (B)
Round 2 Pick 26 (N.O.): Tre Mason, RB, Auburn (A)
Round 3 Pick 5: C.J. Fiedorowicz, TE, Iowa (A)
Round 3 Pick 16: Dion Bailey, FS, Dion Bailey, FS, Southern California (A-)
Round 3 Pick 25 (S.D.): Josh Mauro, DE, Stanford (A-)
Round 3 Pick 27 (N.O.): Craig Loston, SS, LSU (A)
Round 4 Pick 15: Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Eastern Illinois (A)
Round 5 Pick 14: Jaylen Watkins, CB, Florida (B+)
Round 6 Pick 19: Kirby Van Der Kamp, P, Iowa State (A)
Round 7 Pick 18: De'Anthony Thomas, RB, Oregon (B-)

1st one is a little unrealistic with the trades they offer.

But I love this, thanks.

1-Mike Evans WR

2- Tre Mason RB

3- A. Sefarian-Jenkins TE

3- T. Niklas TE

4- A. Murray QB

5 H. Smith S

6 V. Sunseri S. Next special team superstar

7 C. Watt G

I don't know about taking 2 TE's in 3rd but Niklas was by far best BAP, that fills a need.

I'd take this, then get FA OLB and FS
