Bugg Posted January 2, 2006 Share Posted January 2, 2006 Anyone notice how in "Jets 24/7" or any media appearance(even warmups!) Edwards is overly aware of the cameras being hot? This guy loves playing for the cameras. This guy has had a golden ticket since the day he picked up Piscarcik's fumble. He has come to believe he's a good guy deserving good things and good jobs. He thinks he knows what he's doing and he's doing a good job. It's come way too easy. Made friends with Tags and cut the line. Water finds it's level. Nobody skates forever without getting found out. Problem for Edwards is that camera with the red light on it aimed at you gets very unforgiving when you fail. And worse when you fail a lot. Kinda liked the next-to-last episode of "Rome" with the bloodbath in the arena-beheadings, amputations, blood everywhere. Watching Edwards make a mess in'06 will be a similar experience. Guy has taken a torch to the reps of every assistant coach that's worked under him here. When the sheet hits the fans at high speed in '06, it's going to get ugly fast.That is serious bad karma. People are going to talk. You can dismiss Ray Mickens, Bryan Cox and Shannon Sharpe. This is going to be loud, and unpleasant and public. The teflon coating isn't going to last. We're talking serious entertainment value.Take a step back, and no matter how much you love this team. Look at the 2006 season(if Edwards is retained) as "Playmakers 2" without the competent head coach saying'West coast offense? we don't have the personnel for that!" . In short, 2006 is going to make 2005 look like a tea party for the Master Motivator. And at the end, once again, the fans of this franchise get screwed over. It doesn't have to be if Richie Rich sees this mess coming. But my bet is that Johnson is too meek to do what has to be done-yet. It really is terrible-fans of real teams get to root for improvement. But I will not watch this team next year with Herm at the helm. No reason to waiste my time. I did not watch the game today but saw the hightlights on primetime. It is not entertaining in the least to watch this team and is actually downright frustrating to see so many players used wrong in such vanilla schemes.
