With the 4th pick in the draft, the New York Jets Select...

Since our offense is so awesome, we can afford the luxury of taking a player at a position we don't really need! We were only 4-12...just a minor bump in the road! That offensive line will fix itself, and when it does, that burst will suddenly return to Curtis Martin's legs and Chad Pennington's arm will be a rifle! AJ HAWK! AJ HAWK! AJ HAWK! Who cares that Barton, our leading tackler from 2004 was injured? When you are gone, you are forgotten! AJ HAWK! AJ HAWK! AJ HAWK! He's fast and he's white! Don't you get it?! He is the next Urlacher! You don't pass on the next Urlacher, even if it makes no sense whatsoever and does absolutely nothing to help our 29-th ranked offense! That defense only ranked 12th! Granted, that was because the offense could not stay on the field. But you know what can change that: A LINEBACKER! AJ HAWK! AJ HAWK! AJ HAWK!

AJ HAWK.

:D:D:D

i'll be more than happy to hear those words.

No f'ing way.

If Bradway takes a defensive player in day one of the draft, that is not graded AT LEAST ONE ROUND higher, he should be immediately walked out of the building.

Yes, our D wasn't awesome, but I think that was a product of losing a big DT (which you can sign fairly easy) and being on the field for 60% of the game each week.

However, our offense is not capable of much. Look what an average defensive team did to them (New England). We NEED to walk away with a lineman, a running back, and a QB in the first 3 rounds. I'd even go 2 OL and 1 RB.

Ask Pat Williams if it's fairly easy to sign a big man. I don't trust Terry to sign new flag boys for this team.

Do you think the Jets will once again waste the 4th overall pick on a fat, underachieving DT? #-o

and now a quote from the patises 21st overall pick... VERY fat DT.... he is something to write home about

''I don't know nothing about them," nose tackle Vince Wilfork said of the Jaguars. ''Well, I know one thing. Nobody's going to bow down to us . . . and we're not going to bow down to nobody."

That "fat" DT that you reference had a very solid season for the Pats and he didn't cost them two 1sts and a 4th.

Wilfork was horrible until Seymour came back.

Actually, Wilfork was more than horrible without Seymour.

Seymour is the ultimate player in the pats defensive system.

he's severly undersized. I'm tired of having a small line.

The Dlines are only getting bigger and bigger.

He's nearly 300 lbs in a 6'5 frame. He's still young and could very easily add 15 pounds to that frame. His size shouldn't be a problem for him at all.

While its true, we need more strength on the Oline...you dont want a bunch of slow fat turnstiles.

Just because they're really fat and strong it doesnt make them any better ESPECIALLY tackles.

Give me 2 300lb very good passblocking tackles anyday over 2 mammoth fat slobs. Now, not all large fat tackles are slow, some are great passblockers too, but not all of them. You dont just go out and sign offensive lineman because they're really fat and strong, they have to be athletic enough to be reliable passblockers.

But we certainly need a big powerful guard. Guards dont have to be as athletic as tackles (for the most part). I'd love to get Max Jean Giles.

Example: Adrian Jones > LJ Shelton

This why they should grab Eslinger with their 2nd pick. Have him play OG for 2 years and when Mawae is done (which he might be bc of his injury) then you throw Eslinger in the middle. He's a great run blocking OC and one of the best pulling OC's I've seen come out in a long time.

Bro, Eslinger is undersized.

He'd get abused by 310lb nfl Dtackles. He needs to bulk up. Maybe riggs and bit can shed some light into Gregs situation........

I agree with you that Eslinger is a GREAT pulling center. He would be a good understudy to Mawae.

Yea right, just like the Jets handled DFat in the off-season.

Ferguson would be a great pick for 31 out of 32 teams in the NFL.

I'm sure Hermy can develop this guy like the next John Hannah. #-o
