The Rangers are headed to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time in the last 20 years... The Rangers seemed to be on a mission in game 6 determined to end the series on home ice. The team rallied around Martin St.Louis after game 1 when his mother, France St.Louis died of a heart attack. St.Louis wasn't the only Ranger suffering from a loss this year, as Dominic Moore also lost his wife to a rare form of liver cancer. The team showed it's comradery by showing up to his mother's funeral instead of practicing. Personally, this is a big moment for me since I haven't ever actually witnessed the Rangers make it to the Stanley Cup Finals. I was 3 the last time they made it. The only team I love more than the Rangers are the Jets; while the gap of fanaticism I have between the Jets and any other team is huge I still follow them regularly and am proud to see them finally make it. I hope there are some other Rangers fans on here who watched the game, and were able to appreciate what a great series that was.

what a year  what a series - not since 1993, which was magic, have the Rangers played such inspiring games.  I was a Ranger fan first before any sport.  Odd because I was a ghetto kid growing up on the streets of NY.   The Rangers have always held a special place in my heart.  I remember watching games back in 1963 on the black n white tv. Seiling, Hadfield, Gilbert, Ratelle, and on and on......  I waited a long long long long long time for the Rangers to win it all.  So close but so far so many times. Just heartbreaking.  That's what made 1993-94 so very very special. and 20 years later we are back! Now time for the Pièce de résistance!

Good for them. Carey Price not playing hurt Montreal, but Rangerd were the team playing the best hockey so it likely wouldn't have mattered. I think whomever comes out of the West is the clear favorite though.

Who cares. I'd rather be the underdog.

The West should be the favorite for 2 clear reasons 1) either will be the defending champ or a season removed from winning the Cup and 2) they have home ice.

Still think Rangers will win because Im a homer, they have magic and most of all, they have the hot goalie which history has shown is the crucial factor in winning the Cup.
