Can Lowell go back to back to back winning Hockey East? Not going to happen.Lowell lost half the team to graduation and guys going pro.

Hockey East will be all about BC and Providence. UNH, Lowell, Notre Dame and maybe Northeastern can fight it out for the top 4. BU, Merrimack, UMass, Vermont, Maine and UConn are going to be bad. Especially UMass and UConn

Dam....a bit early.  ;)

Hopefully, UNH will not be the .500ish team they have been the last four years.

"Our two most painful Patriots' losses ever, are sandwiched between two Manning family Superbowl victories. Talk about being the book of squandered opportunities between two butt hole bookends."
"I just wish they didn't get lucky when they selected that arrogant cleft-chinned, super-modeling banging prick in the sixth round out of Michigan. It's amazing how much I hate Mo Lewis now."

Was this before or after Smith's arrest?

After his arrest. DeSmith was arrested on August 31st.

BC is going to run away with the regular season and post season titles. They don't have down years; ever. As much as I detest BC I have the utmost respect for Jerry York.

Umile needs to go. UNH is in a funk and that falls on him.

I am thinking the same thing.

The end of Holt's tenure was the same.  Perennial contender to a team that won, but lost too many games before bottoming out.  It took like 5-6 years to turn around.

Lowell beat BC last night 5-2. The Tsongas was packed and rocking. 7,326 people witnessed the beatdown.

UMass was UMass as they got slaughtered by BU at home. Final Score? 8-1.

The "flagship," UMass, is even worse than Northeastern. 1-7 in Hockey East and 3-8 overall. UMass sucks!

UMass-Lowell is #4 in the Country and undefeated in Hockey East.

As the winter break and holiday tournaments are upon us Lowell leads Hockey East with a 7-0-2 record (10-3-3 overall). Here are the Hockey East standings with league games in parenthesis:

Lowell - 16 points (9 games)

BU - 16 points (10 games)

Vermont - 15 points (11 games)

Providence - 12 points (10 games)

Notre Dame - 10 points (8 games)

Boston College - 9 points (9 games)

Merrimack - 9 points (9 games)

Northeastern - 7 points (10 games)

UConn - 5 points (7 games)

Maine - 4 points (8 games)

UNH - 3 points (7 games)

UMass - 2 points (10 games)

Lowell has 14 freshman and 1 NHL draft pick. BC has 9 NHL draft picks, BU has 7.
