The Steelers’ top two running backs were arrested together today.

Le’Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount, Pittsburgh’s first- and second-string running backs, were in a car together and stopped by Ross Township Police this afternoon. According to Will Graves of the Associated Press, the traffic officer detected smoke coming from the car, and police found about 20 grams of marijuana in the car.

Both Bell and Blount were charged with possession of marijuana. Bell was also charged with driving under the influence. An unidentified female in the car was also charged with possession of marijuana.

The Steelers took Bell in the second round of last year’s draft, and he won the starting job as a rookie. He carried 244 times for 860 yards and eight touchdowns last year.

Blount signed with the Steelers this offseason after spending last year in New England, where he had 772 yards and seven touchdowns on 153 carries.

Bell and Blount could both now be subject to league discipline, but likely not until the case is resolved.

"Steelers will allow NFL to handle any disciplinary measures vs. Bell, Blount. Again, Goodell not likely to act in 2014. Both play tonight"

neither guy will have any discipline during the season

NFL !!!

But they are stars......how can you discipline them with a brand new season about to start. #NFLLogic.

Man, I was hoping to see Dri Archer thrust into the starting role at some point this season.  He's a 5-8, 170 lbs speed demon who would either set the league on fire or get obliterated in the first quarter of his debut.

They'd certainly pair him with a free agent pickup (such as Andre Brown), but he'd get some solid touches.

I liked Archer coming out...as a third-down change of pace...anything more is just too much...

On the Steelers dilemma...I'm kinda rooting for their demise...too many bandwagon fans...

95 % of them have never been to Pittsburgh.  Same is true for Cowboys fans and Dallas.

Funny thing is the lack of commitment from the Cowboys fans...and I live in Texas...the serious fans know Jerry is a clown and it is truly about the money.
