Jetknowledge
I recently told my cousin i have no complaints with our off-season. I would've enjoyed a revis reunion and a desean Jackson type deep threat but i have no complaints due to our young talent and key ssignings on offense. But the most exciting peace to the team is that the qb search is over. Geno is motivated, intelligent, athletic, & a young respected team leader in the locker room. There aren't really many complaints a person can have but im sure people will find some.
stoicsentry
There aren't really many complaints a person can have Oh I beg to differ, my friend. Beg. To. Differ. We can't pass; not enough weapons. We can't defend the pass, as our secondary is in shambles. Our draft was awful. Meanwhile, we're sitting on the 2nd highest remaining cap space in the league. So I guess we shouldn't watch either.

He's looked good but I need to see him do what he did in the preseason consistently for four quarters, and then two weeks in a row, and then three weeks. Basically I'm taking it week by week. Geno has to get the offense to score a lot more points than they did in the preseason against other teams' ones. Even his TD was aided by a couple of dodgy penalty calls that gave him extra chances. I know but two things I really liked about this preseason were the fact that he didn't get sacked and he threw for like 70%. I feel pretty good about our offense as long as he keeps that up but I worry. He has only played two quarters so I mean he hasn't really had the chance to screw things up but at least he hasn't. He was soooo bad last year against the Giants. To be honest, I feel he's already developed more than Sanchez did in his whole time here. I EVEN SAW HIM MAKE A FEW AUDIBLES AT THE LINE which is what I asked Santa for so I'm happy about that.

Agreed that he looked better, and I think that Decker and (especially) the presence of Chris Johnson will make the offense look a hell of a lot better than it's been. I'm really curious to see if they let Geno actually be the QB, or if they continue to treat him like a caretaker. I'm of the belief that they should let him throw it a lot, especially early on, and see how he responds. I think that limiting him ****s with his confidence, and that's when the trouble begins. Teh Bumble
I was talking to an old business partner about this, and as far as I understand it, the Jets are still under contract. I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I watched one of the most recent videos on nyjets.com and Geno was talking about how they need explosive plays in the offense and that is something he said Marty stresses a lot apparently so I'm with you Tom and I have some confidence that it can happen. I had a feeling Amaro was going to suck this year just by his interviews and from what I read early in camp but now he's one of the people I'm most excited to see. I'm with you on Decker, I think he's going to be huge for us-- he already was in preseason. We definitely have to score a lot of points with our schedule because we all know teams are going to score on us if our pass d is going to be as bad as we fear. Like his plan, the Xtra cap space for flexibility and to sign the Jets' home grown talent in the future is obvious to see. Despite the claims that our draft "sucks" which is utterly ridiculous to state at this point, on paper the Jets appear better at All positions compared to last year. You can even make the case with the CBs - the Jets were not good at CB last year. But like all things on paper it means didley if it doesn't translate to the field. Keep up the good posts. lamont_jordan_rules
2014 will come down to how Geno performs. I have been pleased with what I've seen the last month of 2013 as well as camp & preseason this year ... Keep it up kid!
