SAR I (SAR I)

Live in Bergen County NJ (clean air, racial inequality)

Also own a beach house on the water in Maine (state that's so north its practically south of Canada)

Grew up in Huntington New York which is on Long Island (stretch of land east of Queens)

Have been a Jets fan since 1979 and have never missed a game on TV or live, ever

Was on the season ticket holder waiting list from 1988 to 2003 which sucked

Was impatient, so purchased the rights to great seats in Giants Stadium from a blue-collar worker on eBay for $10,000 in 2000

Wanted Day 1 PSL seniority so gave $4,000 to an old-timer to select my Row 1 Mezzanine A seats in MetLife Stadium

Four kids, one wife, and a full-time nanny but she's not hot and that bums me out

Three sons all Jets fans, they think we're an elite team because we sort of were since 1997

I drive a $50,000 BMW but that doesn't make me special because I can afford a $150,000 one if I wanted

Lil Bit Special- Jason

Living in Waltham Massachusetts

Originally from East Northport NY

Attended UMass Amherst

Season Ticket holder from 1992-2009 sitting on 50yd line... until they built that horrible spaceship

Attended the Fake Spike game, took bus from Port Authority back to UMass when my bus slid off an exit ramp in heavy snow. Made it back to campus at midnight, where no one was around and I trudged through a foot of snow wearing my huge puffy green Jets jacket.  It may have been the only time in life where I felt I wouldnt be mad if I died right there.

Been to 2 games since then... once thanks to Max and once thanks to a friend.  Hated the new place and have little desire to go back.

Married in 2011 and had our first daughter Melinda this past May.  Currently enjoying being a stay at home dad for a few months before going back to work for Party City

Became friends with Gainzo due to our love of college hockey- he a UMass Lowell fan. Me UMass Amherst.  Been to many games with that crazy f@ck and enjoyed as his team rose from being cut to the top of Hockey East and a bright future while my sh!tty UMass team continues to suck year after year.

My user name is from a Stephen Lynch song called Special Ed. off his album A Little Bit Special.

Huge fan of the Mets and Islanders, while enjoying Red Sox and Bruins games.

Love going to Cape Cod every summer to watch as many Cape League baseball games as we can.

Wife is a huge sports fan, but is a Patriots fan which makes things not so fun around here on sundays.

Currently 21st in post count, but most of those were smilies and stupid pictures.  Im barely around these parts anymore since I just dont love the Jets as much as I did when I drove 4+ hours each way on Sundays from Mass to the meadowlands.  If I miss a game...  oh well.  It aint the end of the world anymore.

Thats all folks!

I don't think I need an introduction.

Sorry, who are you again? Aren't you a SAR I alt account?

Anyway...

I'm Warfish.

I like Scotch, Pink Floyd, Fishing, Military History and of course, the Jets.

I'm longwinded, bloviating, arrogant, self-important and occasionally, rarely, funny and/or interesting.

I'm really just a longstanding Smizzy alt. account myself. Or was it Bitonti. I can never remember.

And I'm not new.

So, yeah.

- Live in Patchogue, which is about 20-30 minutes from the Hamptons on LI.

- Grew up in Islip, NY

- I became a Jets fan when I was 6 years old just to spite my a$$hole brother, who is HUGE Giants fan (I showed him).

- I've never been a season ticket holder. Most of my friends are Giants fans, so no one would accompany me to games.

- My wife and I had a daughter last December.

- We took her to Cortland to check out training camp a few weeks ago.  She was decked out in Jets gear, and

took a picture with Tommy Bohanon. Geno also signed her onesie.  I'm sure she's going to resent me for

making her a Jets fan when she gets older.

- I am a home brewer, beer geek, and metal music lover.

- I drive a Jeep Wrangler. Because it's cool.

Great idea SJ.

Live in Stockholm, Sweden since birth. Hope to move some day to the U.S. but lack the specialist skill in order to get a job there thus far.. :)

Jets fan since 98 (I think) which ain´t bad considering the lousy coverage over here back then. A football fan since end of the 80´s though.

Went to my first, but not last, game last year and loved it to bits. Pats home.

Have a fiancee, no kids of my own but big family anyway. Enjoy life and try to travel as much as possible until we get kids.

Work for a global company as a SCM and will probably continue with that until I reach specialist level and can apply for a job in, yes you know it, the U.S.

I love all good things in life AND the Jets.

I haven´t invented sh*t...

I grew up in between. :)

I used to work in Patchogue, right on main street. I think the pizza place I used to hit up was called something like Del Fiore's. I loved the Brick House.

When I was in college, a girl from school and I snuck into the old burned out mill building to take photos. There were un-opened Christmas gifts from when it first burned, a game by Milton Bradley that was all hippie-ish about karma cards and stuff like that. Very cool experience. No, I didn't get a blowie, but it wasn't for lack of trying. We stumbled across what looked like a chop shop and had to haul ass out of there. Oh, I also almost feel through the floor, my left leg went all the way through... my nutsack saved me.

I'm not new here but don't post all that much.  Good to see many old friends again.

Live in Phoenix, AZ and formerly from NY/NJ.

Season ticket holder and fly back for a few games each year.

Best Jets/football memories of going to games:

- 1986 Jets vs. Dolphins, the OT game where O'Brien and Marino combined for over 800 yards passing.  I was 11 yrs old and that game made me a Jets fan.

- 2009 Jets vs. Chargers playoff game.  Many of us from JI met up, took over a bar in the Gaslamp Quarter and partied on Saturday, then had a killer tailgate at Qualcomm before kicking the Chargers' asses!

- Going to the Super Bowl and watching the Giants beat the Patriots on the Plaxico Burress TD in the Spygate season.

I'm somewhat plugged in with the NFL, particularly the Players Association, so I've had a chance to meet many players and did a quasi-interview of Geno last year at NFL Rookie Premiere.

My general take on the Jets...

1. I like Rex and I think he's the right longterm coach for the Jets.

2. I think Geno could be the guy as well.  His progress from year 1 to year 2 is the key.  Can he take the next step?

3. I'm onboard with the Idzik approach in general, but I do think there are times you simply need to hold your nose and pay the $ to solve a problem like CB.  We should have landed a guy like DRC.

4. I think overall we're heading in the right direction.

Look forward to interacting with you guys.  I still plan to post at JI as well.

F the Pats!

Go Jets!

Del Fiore's is still there.  Decent place, but there's better pizza out there.  They also own a salumeria in town that has some pretty amazing stuff.

Brick House Brewery is still there too.  Their beer is meh.  We used to take pride in the fact that Blue Point was in town, but those scumbags sold out Anheuser-Busch.

This was close to 20 years ago.

I used to go to Ralph's south of mainstreet, back behind the buildings, for italian ice. I got hit by a car in front of the country kitchen by 112.

I need to check out the tap room and bobbique, those are new since i've been gone. but I have old friends that play some of those places with their bands.

Hi,

I'm GreenBean.

I've been GreenBean since the 90's on the old Rivals board (which I still miss) and then Matt's Greenhouse before coming to JN in 2009.

i was at the fake spike game and the midnight miracle.

I bought season tickets in section 311 for 5 years (from someone) and went to every game during the the last two Coslet years, the Carroll year and the Kotite years when I finally had enough of wasting my time and gave up my tickets just before we hired Parcells. I went to only one game during his tenure as our coach.

I'm good like that.

I live in S Florida and the only game I went to back up there during the Ryan era was the Sanchez 5 INT game against the Bills. That was my last time in Giants stadium.

I was also at the game in Miami when Holmes lost his Sh*t in the huddle. Oh…, that was my son's first Jets game.  I'm contemplating never going to another game in my life.  :D

I'm now a member of the S Florida Jets fan club that meets at HammerJacks. Pretty cool joint.

I also have an affinity for Sheep

I'm looking at the google map and it looks like they added a pizza shop on main street. I always got my pizza up off of main, which I'm pretty sure was the salumeria at the time too. They had a tiny pizza counter and like 20 different pies. They had GREAT brooklyn style sicilian at the time. :)

LOL all of those places are still around.  Tap Room is a nice little place.  Check out Hoptron Brewtique, if you like craft beer.  I've become friendly with the owners, and I've been a finalist in their annual homebrew competition the last couple of years.  It's a pretty unique place.

The salumeria is still in the same spot on Ocean Avenue, but they moved the pizzeria to a bigger space right on Main Street.
