Fred Jetstone
Carrol was confused at the end and called a timeout to prepare for the two point conversion. What a herm Edwards move that was! He had to know they'd be going for two. Why wasn't he prepared for it? The lack of a timeout forced USC into a desperate all-or-nothing situation on the final play. Had they had that timeout, they could have gone for a field goal. No more bring-back-Carrol talk please. He's as clusless as Herm when it comes to thinking ahead/clock management. nj meadowlands
The timeout was called cuz idiot roid-head freshman Brian Cushing was on the field and was not supposed to be That's a fact
Fred Jetstone
The timeout was called cuz idiot roid-head freshman Brian Cushing was on the field and was not supposed to be If that's true and Cushing screwed up, then Carroll took the heat for him, saying there was confusion about Texas going for the two. If Carrol did that, that's a rare move for an HC.

Bugg
Could fault him for not punting on 4th down. But their defense couldn't stop Young.Texas was better. He'd better recruit better for his defense.

Why take a chance on a short field, for a guy who USC could not stop all day anyway??
4HCrew
I do not mind the 4th down play but why no Reggie Bush in the game?
mbn007
I do not mind the 4th down play but why no Reggie Bush in the game? Sorry, but I disagree. That 4th down play, at that time of the game, was a no-brainer. Young was on fire all day. Why give him a chance at a short field, when a decent floater punt pins him back inside the 20, and maybe inside the 10? Bone-head play right there. Winning by 5, and he took a chaqnce and blew it big time.
joewilly
pete shoulda watched some game film. how do you not put a spy on the likes of a vince young? how many times did the left de get sucked inside only to watch young run around him?
PETROCK
It still pisses me off that the Jets didn't give Pete Carrol half the chance they gave Edwards. He coached the team for 1 season, to a 7-9 record and he was fired, & they keep this bonehead Edwards on for 5 years. What kind of BS is that?
