Shadetree
I think he sucks. Many other people think he sucks. Others say we haven't seen enough. There's 5-6 pages on this site debating those very points. But here we are in the aftermath. What's the news on his status? What do the Jets do? Do they start him against two beast WRs and watch him get demoralized? Do they say he's physically not ready to go when he's in the same physical shape he was on Sunday-thus telling him that, they too, have little faith in him? Or do they start him to avoid him completely getting in his own head? Or start him because they think hes the better option? His confidence has to be shot at this point. How the team treats this conundrum and how he handles this adversity will tell us an awful lot about how our season might go. He should have never been in that goddamn game. He's a young kid, and he's a Jet, so I'm pulling hard for him. But I have very, very little faith in him.

They put him on J.Nelson, why wouldn't they put him on the bears #1?

Can someone grease up the walkway from the visitor locker room to the field. Forget that just pour barrels and barrels of oil sludge.

kay_gee
I wouldn't, Walls has consistently outperformed him. But I guess we'll see.

pointman
walls is bad. Milliner was hurt. Give him a minute. I refuse to believe that performance against Jordy was his best effort.
Shadetree
My biggest problem with this situation is the fact that out defensive backfield played well against the Raiders and played well during the first half of the GB game. There was no reason to put him in the game. High ankle sprain + everyone else playing well = go with what's working. Now look what has been wrought!! The kid has a bullseye on his chest with a QB who owns a cannon arm and two gazelles at receiver!!! I really feel bad for the kid. I know he's a professional but, c'mon, he's 23?ish and HAS to be having serioUs doubts. Hopefully, his teammates have his back, but how long can that last? Latinlawyer
I say start Walls and Allen and use three safeties instead of 3 Lbs. If Milliner is ok then rotate him in but if he is not ok. Keep him sidelined. Whatever you do, when Milliner is on the field you have to roll coverage to his side. He is not running at 100%.
Arsis
I think this is the fastest I've ever given up on the Jets. It's a record. I hope they lose. Dog murdering pieces of garbage.

Dog murdering pieces of garbage. Can't say I don't understand this feeling. I'm gonna stay positive ....for now. But there were a lot of things that really really pissed me off on Sunday. I'm too tired to bring up the rest right now.

jetstream23
I may be one of the few who actually like our CBs (when they're healthy). I think Milliner can absolutely be a CB1 and a good one. The lightbulb went on for him at the end of last year and he was playing at a very high level. He needs to get back to 100% and then shake off the rust. Walls is a decent CB2. On a quality defense he should be a very good backup, but I don't have a ton of heartburn with him out there on the field. He doesn't have the physical tools of a Milliner or Allen, but his coverage technique is good and he's a solid tackler. Rex trusts him. Antonio Allen is showing he can really play CB. I'm trying not to get too excited but with his size, speed, tackling ability and football smarts I can't help but imagine that giving him more experience (a full 16 game season) at CB might actually make him a very, very good CB2. We need a healthy Milliner playing like he was in December 2013, and we need an Antonio Allen with some more experience at the CB position. I think those two guys could carry us this whole season. Lith
I would guess that Walls and Allen will start and if healthy, Milliner will rotate in. If healthy, I assume that both Marshall and Jeffery will get their yards -- we need to force the Bears into making mistakes. As others have said, Cutler can be rattled--we need our first Int of the season this week -- hopefully we can get two or three.
BallinPB
Keep Milliner on the bench unless he is 100%. He looked way to slow chasing down Jordy Nelson.
