A source tells the Seattle Times that Percy Harvin got into an altercation with Golden Tate during Super Bowl week last season, resulting in a black eye for Tate.

This confirms an initial report from The Sideline View's Lance Zierlein. A source also tells the Seattle Times that Harvin had an altercation with Doug Baldwin in August that resulted in Baldwin getting a cut on his chin. A final straw was reportedly Harvin balking about going back into last week's game against Dallas, possibly angry over not being used more early on. Zierlein was told "Harvin's anger issues are just too much to deal with and he could single handedly bring down team chemistry."

Plus. They always blame the guy who won in the fight. Golden Tate should be labeled as a locker room cancer too then. Takes two people to have an altercation and be "locker room problems"

Golden Tate was someone we should have signed in the offseason. He seems to be getting along just fine in Detroit, even without Megatron grabbing double and triple coverage.

Santonio Holmes II

Or maybe Braylon Edwards II, or maybe Ed Reed II or maybe Cromartie II? Need to see how it plays out. Holmes played worse for Rex - but the three here that I mentioned played better. I guess we will have to wait and see.

A conditional 6th that can't be higher than a 4th...6.5 million with no strings attached...this is a steal. Get over it.

Read Russell Wilsons quote from August talking about what a great locker room guy Harvin is.

What it goes to show is that Harvin is a half season rental to appease a rabid fanbase.

6.5 million this year only. He's not hitting the cap next year so we didn't just screw up anything in the future.

6th to 4th? Geez that is insane for a guy of his caliber, if you're a team in the hunt. Problem is, next year it's going to be time to pay the piper. So if he is good this year, we're out a fourth and may not resign him if he wants Decker money, which he will. If he's not in much this season, he's a sixth which is great because you can try and leverage his injury history and now you have the most dynamic kick returning guy in the game at a special teams level pick, who also happens to be a pro bowl caliber receiver.

If he sucks this year and we sign him cheap next year, then idzik just got his Marshawn Lynch. If he costs us a fourth and doesn't come back,Idzik and/or Woody is a short sighted jackass. Jmo

So we passed on Desean Jackson but gave up a pick and took on more risk for Harvin only after our season is all but over. meh, if Harvin's alleged issues are true, and then add Geno's antics... disastrous drama ensuing.

Not true. There is no guaranteed money with Harvin, but we would have needed that with Jackson. We could cut at anytime without financial repercussion if he doesnt fit the program so in essence we took less of a risk, we couldn't say that if we signed Jackson. If Harvin's alleged issues are true then maybe he needed a change of scenery, i mean lets be serious here....Desean Jackson was no saint, and there would have been people talking about his locker room chemistry and his alleged connections with west coast gang members.

Disastrous drama is a 1-6 record. And as stated, if Harvin doesnt fit then we can simply cut/trade him with no financial ties and a loss of a mid round pick. Don't get me wrong here, I have concerns about this trade. Its not as "blockbuster" as the media has made it seem. But in regards to your statement, Desean Jackson would have been more of a risk for sure.
