Freemanm
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000415929/article/rex-ryan-calvin-pryor-hasnt-played-to-expectations In all honesty I have seen Pryor make some big tackles, although he, all of the other Jets DBS, has dropped a pic here and there. Give him some time, his career is only 7 games old
Jetlife33
Yeah more time is needed. With that said we all thought he'd be knocking people's teeth in from the first week and we haven't really seen a bone crushing hit yet.

thshadow
Not willing to call him a bust just yet. But we've waited 9 whole games! I thought we normally declared busts after the preseason.
Jetlife33
He'll be fine. He's never going to be a great cover safety, but he'll be a good in the box safety.
BroadwayJoe12
WHY OH WHY DOES REX GET STUCK WITH ALL THESE UNDERPERFORMING JACK TATUMS!!!!! Right or f*cking Dee Milliner. Integrity28
Instinctive players can't play instinctively until they game slows down for them mentally. It was never going to click for him as a rookie, I expect him to give us some glimpses, but next year is when he'll take the leap forward. Just like Revis did after his rookie year. Jetmech
Thing is he wasn't a coverage safety in college. Another JI recommendation...

Jetscode1
Link? THR...gave him 3rd round grade...it's paid site...there's more that were down on him...a snippet below: Calvin is what I call a “guesser” safety. He comes up in run support more quickly than most, but continuously takes bad angles and misses tackles trying to make the big hit. He seems confused in zone coverage and consistently gets beat. He lets receivers behind him because he is so interested in supporting the run. He looks into the backfield way too long and gets fooled by smart quarterbacks at the college level. RSJ
Time for the Jets to ravamp the scouting or get ready for overpaying veterans again. It would be easy to blame Rex if the same stuff hasn't been happening for 20+ years.
