Brett Hundley

Let's say we get a top 3 pick, and Mariotta and Winston aren't the "guy". Instead we take Amari Cooper or an OT.

Talk to me about Hundley.. does he make sense at the top of round 2? I've been watching some highlights, I like seeing him connect with Shaq Evans, but the thing I'm noticing most is that he moves around in the pocket like Big Ben or Rodgers. He seems very aware of where the pressure is coming from, or what parts of his pocket are collapsing. I know it's a highlight clip, so I'm wondering how good is this kid and why isn't he in the conversation?

I would love Hundley in the early-mid rounds as a developmental back up who could potentially start 3-4 years down the road. For that he's perfect. Still has a lot of upside IMO but he's not going to be ready to step right in and run an NFL offense. He could go a lot earlier though, who knows.

He's a slightly less raw Logan Thomas, but I'm with Gato, I was much higher on him a year or two ago than I am now. If you draft him, you have to do so with the foresight that he's going to be holding a clipboard for an absolute minimum of one full season.  He's someone that I would draft even if we selected Mariota, Winston or Cook in the first round, because he requires that much work.  That having been said, he's the perfect guy to draft in the upper middle rounds and stash for a bit.
