ucrenegade
Had to post this over here also because I want to see what other people besides the JI people would say also I have been thinking about this awhile and I know it prob is not possible with our 99 year lease with the Giants but their are always loopholes colts moved out of Baltimore and browns left Cleveland. So could and would you still be fans of the jets if they moved across country? What if they kept the same colors, I am just wondering do we like the jets because they are near our home or where we grew up or do we like the jets no matter what. I for one can't see me rooting for another team but then again the LA Jets doesn't have the same oommphh for me I certainly could not have bills and def not the freaking Giants as my fav team. If you had to choose another team who would you make your new team for me it would prob be The Arizona Cardinals.
Larz
following a team or rooting for them comes from the moment you care if they win or lose doesn't have to be the home team my dad took me to games at shea, and they made the playoffs, so I cared In my 20's I would have said nothing could ever make me stop caring now I have already gotten to the point that I just watch out of morbid curiosity If they got caught cheating I would be done with them. If they move I would be done. if they keep rex and geno I will consider maybe cursing another team with my loyalty it would probably be an NFC team. maybe the packers

slats
I could finally quit the NFL. This is my answer. I'd find something else to do. I was teetering on the edge when they moved training camp off Long Island, if the team moved to another city to play, it wouldn't be too hard to quit. sourceworx
I've stuck with them despite all the mismanagement and letdowns. Moving would be the final straw. I'd become a Bears fan. I've always liked them and their history. If not them, then the Bills. I respect their fan base.

munchmemory
To the detriment of my mental and physical well being, I just can't stop being a fan of this team as long as they stay put. Once they move, I would have an out and definitely stop following the team. Gun to my head, I'd follow the Steelers.
Panzer Division Marduk
what if they went to London? became the London Jets? BOYS FROM THE DWARF! If they moved for real, I'd probably just root for whoever played them, every week. Wishing nothing but evil upon their new city and all their new fans. Hoping that they suffer an eternity of having a regime in charge that makes the one we have right now seem like the epitome of competent, professional and successful. Integrity28
The Colts (my wife's team), the Packers (owned by the fans) or maybe the Bills (because they are a NY team, and I'd be accustomed to the fail already). Seriously though, the Jets. I haven't lived in NY for over a decade. The Jets haven't played in NY for longer. Geography kinda has nothing to do with it anymore, at least for me. Better2bgreenthanblue
I wish that Russian dude who owns the Nets would purchase the Jets. He's got a lot of bullets $$$ and I think people are hesitant to mess with him. Brooklyn Jets baby! if the Jets disappeared I probably would pick the skins. That way I can continue to aggressively root against the Giants and Cowboys.

Ex-Rex
I began following the Jets during the 1968 season and I fell in love with AFL football, and especially Joe Namath and the Jets. You don't know how many times I have said, "I'm done with this bunch of losers" but never could follow through. I can't root for Miami, New England or Buffalo, nor can I find Giants games remotely entertaining. I am in my late 50's now and I have seen so much BS over the years that my loyalty is waning. I haven't bought a ticket to a game in almost 10 years, and don't intend to until things look better. I hate Rex Ryan and if he or John Idzik return it would signal to me that we have the most inept owner in the teams history and "casual fan" or even Eagles fan might be more appealing to me. For decades I held on hope against hope that a Super Bowl would come. The Walt Michaels Jets almost got it done, but another inept owner - one in the Ring of Honor (undeservedly) - fired him after the Mud Bowl. Then came Parcells but he ultimately proved to be a snake in the grass. Several failed administrations later here we are, no closer to a SB than we were in 1970. For me time is running out, as is my faith that ANYONE in charge of this ship really cares.
flgreen
I probably just root for whoever is winning that year. After all these years rooting for these losers, I deserve rooting for winning teams
heymangold
i wouldn't be a fan anymore. i'd prob go back to the Cowboys or pick from the Saints, 49ers, Eagles and Redskins. or whatever team Rexy becomes the head coach of.
Irish Jet
I've never been within 3000 miles of New York and even I'd quit on that bullsh*t. It would be a different team, a different franchise regardless. As JiF said, I'd quit the NFL, which I've effectively done anyways outside of the Jets. I was teetering on the edge when they moved training camp off Long Island, if the team moved to another city to play, it wouldn't be too hard to quit. I would move on also. Jetlife33
I couldn't see myself rooting for another team unfortunately. I'm a Jets fan mostly due to the fact I was brought up one, by my dad and uncle. I always said if I just started watching football on my own without any influence id probably be a packers fan. The history, the stadium, the winning tradition. But even if the Jets did move away itd be hard for me to change teams.

SoFlaJets
They don't even have to move I'm just about ready to stop watching ALL sports altogether. I haven't watched baseball in years, basketball forget it, football I'm not sure why I even came back this year, since I stopped buying the Sunday Ticket last season-big mistake. This team is horrible and add to it that I can't stand the idiot owner and I'm inches away from a total sports blackout and wouldn't even really miss it. The game is so crooked as it is, especially gotten bad the past 15 years or so, hmmm almost since Goodell took over.

RutgersJetFan
I'd probably stay with them like Dodgers and Giants fan did (along with becoming Mets fans later down the line). Truth be told this dumpster fire of a season helped renew my love of the college game, and what a season for that to happen. Every week has been so intense. I think if the Jets moved I'd probably focus more on Saturdays than Sundays, like I have this year.
