CobraVerde
Watching the Dallas game Troy Aikman made the point that coaching Mark and telling him not to lose games was the wrong way to bring him up and I totally agree with that. I also think by doing so he learned to fear the interception rather than to embrace a strong QB mentality and move on from your mistakes. Manning Brady rivers breed Rodgers etc they all are coached to go out there and win the game not told to not lose it. Thoughts?

JoeC36
I like my quarterback like I like my women. Big and loose
CrazyCarl40
My friend was a tight end. After a few looses, he's a quarterback now.
kelticwizard
You might be right. His last couple of years Mark looked like a guy who didn't know what to do out there. We drafted a guy #5 then had Schottenheimer and Sporano coaching him.

SMC
Agree 100%. Rex's main problem is he never understood that smart aggressive leads to less turnovers than turtled/super conservativeTrue, and that stems from his defensive-centric viewpoint. He wants his defense to be aggressive and the offense to not make a mistake.
jamesr
You could see this in Mark as his time here progressed - he'd hold onto the ball more and more, waiting for the perfect throw, the wide open guy, and end up missing opportunities as a result, or taking a sack.
