Comments regarding Sanchez on Philly radio

Nothing earth-shattering here, but some of it made me laugh on my drive in to work so I figured I'd share.  This was the morning host.

"If Nick Foles has six fractures in his clavicle, get him a neck brace and send him out there, we've seen enough of Mark Sanchez"

"The only thing Sanchez is good at is the post-game press conferences when he says 'well, I have to play better, I have to make better throws, I can't make those mistakes'

Also, comments about Chip Kelly and the FO that made me feel like I was listening to a NY station talk about the Jets

"How does this team come in to the season with fifteen million dollars in cap room and this is all they have at cornerback?  Weren't there a ton of good corners available?  Were they giving out bonuses for staying that far  under the cap"

"Why isn't Chip Kelly talking to his assistants during the game?  How can he say in a press conference that he doesn't know what the assignments were for his cornerbacks and he says 'I'll have to talk to the defensive coaches later'

He ignores half the team! Year after year! He's acting like a coordinator not a head coach! Lol

Yep...exactly why I was laughing while I was listening to it.  If you put the good attributes of Rex and Chip together, you'd have a multiple SB winning HC.

This is exactly why it takes a special individual, not just a schemer, to be a HC in the NFL.  When you're Chief Operating Officer of your football team, having a great offensive or defensive mind is nice, but you're giving those tasks to your coordinators anyways.  You have to be a leader of men, knowing when to step in and provide input and when to leave your coaching staff alone.  Rex didn't have a strong grasp of that quality, though he might learn it.  Does Chip?

Oh, and Sanchez sucks.

But I thought Chip Kelly was going to save his career because it the most user friendly QB system the league has ever known.

Sanchez sucks.

Eagles lost to another team above .500.

Weird.

I really expected Sanchez to flourish in this system based on the early season commentary from local and national media.  Nobody expected Foles to duplicate last season's numbers, but when John Gruden said on MNF that Kelly  had a "QB proof offense" it wasn't the first time I'd heard that.  So many people said any QB would thrive under Chip that I wasn't going to write Sanchez off until his next gig when I figured he'd leave Philly as a FA and be a starter elsewhere.  Well, in this "QB proof" offense, he  hasn't been all that great.

Sanchez divides another fanbase.

Somewhere out there is a contingent of Philly fans who still believe in Mark Magic.

Maybe if they brought in Tebow and had him run in and out with Sanchez, Mark would feel like its old times.  BTW, as far as the

" I've got to play better clichés"....  don't they all talk like that when they lose. ?   Geno is learning quickly to pick up all those

clichés, if you listen to his interviews.    I'm sorry we never got Kyle Orton.... he looks so much better than Geno.

They need to acquire Stephen Hill.......

No one is trending worse than Woody Johnson.  That's for sure.  Is he worse than the Dolans at this point?

No. No one is worse than the Dolans.

Idzik would have to put together a roster with 18 worthless receivers and cost Woody 15 million in a sexual harrassment suit then be allowed to name himself head coach for it to reach Dolan-level horribleness.

Plus, Woody isn't the lead singer of a terrible band that sings blues songs bemoaning the plight of the billionaire and book himself as the opening act for The Eagles in his own building.

Vick didnt thrive in it.  Foles was trending down this season.  Sanchez sucks.

Its not QB proof when your QB sucks.

Isn't there a mega Sanchez thread oozing with hyperbole on said QB? I will post in it in due time on super Sanchez.

After seeing Sanchez QB several games for the Eagles, I have to say he is no different than with the Jets, give him a wide open WR with no pass rush, he's great, get him rattled a bit and make him try to read a defense - he stinks, becomes inaccurate and takes sacks.

That's because he very good at times, gives you hope..He has all the tools and often puts together great drives..

But he's a killer and just does the dumbest things or throws a bad pick at the worst time. Or just misses wide open receivers on 3rd and 6.

It's like he goes into a fugue state for a few stretches in every game.

Does Chip Kelly have a worse win percentage than Herm Edwards?

I heard a stat he's something 3-10 against teams with winning records.

HIs defense is absolutely atrocious

All this talk about coaching and coaches is meaningless.

Big game players like Dez Bryant (and Revis) are what determines the outcome of games. Not the coaches. It's always about the players.

a coach is important - and can certainly make a difference but you need playmakers on both sides of the ball...

Not just good players but you need difference makers - like Dez and Revis.

The Jets have a lot of cap space - go out and spend whatever it take to get a few playmakers in house....

Bingo.

Its weird.  When Rex had players.  The Jets won.  Now that the Jets dont have player.  Rex losses.

Crazy sh*t this talent.  It does amazing things for a team.
