NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — You’ve got to be more careful than that, Woody.

On Tuesday afternoon, an angry Jets fans tweeted at owner Woody Johnson, encouraging him to fire general managericon1.png John Idzik.

Johnson hit the “favorite” button before realizing what he did and undoing it.

Idzik appears to be on the hot seat in just his second season as New York’s GM. Fans have called for his ouster all season in the form of billboards and banners, though it’s anybody’s guess what Johnson will decide to do after the season.

Last week, Johnson told the New York Daily News that he’s “frustrated” with his team’s play — the Jets are a lowly 3-11 — but isn’t sure if changes will be made.

Some believe that Idzik will be back in light of a recent report indicating that Johnson and Idzik are in the early stages of a coaching search to replace Rex Ryan. Ryan is expected to be fired after missing the playoffslb_icon1.png for the fourth consecutive season.

On Tuesday, a team source told Metro New York’s Kristian Dyer that there’s a “50-50″ chance that Idzik will be retained for the 2015 season.

This is news?

if its in the NY POST.........lol

It may have been “inadvertent,” but it’s still an ominous sign for John Idzik.

Jets owner Woody Johnson favorited a tweet from a fan urging him to fire the general manager, a possibility that has been widely speculated on during the Jets’ 3-11 debacle of a season.

Johnson would go on to apologize after the story began to gain traction, saying it was an accident.

Johnson will decide the fate of Idzik and coach Rex Ryan after the season ends in two weeks.

Just as I 'accidentally' responded to this post. Yeah, Woody accident wink, wink.

If you hire a new GM, coach and yet keep Bradway, little will change.

The whole thing needs to be completely overhauled...I don't think there's any other way to go at this point.

Bradway is NOT the problem here. Let me remind you that he has made very few draft picks in his tenure and the one he wanted the MOST was Russell Wilson who is the starting QB of the SB Champion Seahawks. Would Wilson have worked miracles in NY - I think he would be better than Geno, or Sanchez that's for sure. I not a huge Bradway fan, but he is only the head of the scouting department. He doesn't make the decisions, just gives out the facts. And the fact is that he wanted the Jets to take Russell Wilson and they didn't listen.

The Russell Wilson thing is SOOOOOOOO overblown at this point.  Idzik also drafted Richardson...Guys like guys and sometimes they pan out sometimes they don't.

Bradway has been the head of this thing for a decade.  he MUST go with everything else.  I'm not saying he's the only problem but he certainly has been part of it.

Sorry, I hit the neg rep button by accident, because I agree with you. Bye bye to BAdway. He's been crap for this team for decades.

So how do you explain the multitude of poor picks going back to when Bradway was the GM?
