    • No. Should move up to get either Winston or Mariotta. Do what you gotta do.

Love to have Cooper but until we get a QB to get'em the ball...it's a moot point.

Disagree Geno Smith will be fine its the WRs we choose to put on the roster we need Boldin type WRs guys who ball out to get the ball finesse guys like Decker and Kerley want the ball gift wrapped for them to catch it.

Anquan Boldin on Decker's shoulders couldn't catch Geno's passes. He's awful. Time to move on.

Would be hard pressed to be disappointed with this pick. Cooper has talent to be best Jets playmaker in a generation. If it breaks this way you can trade back into bottom of first to get qb or stand pat near top of 2nd and hope you like one there. No matter what happens, it would be grossly negligent to not bring in some vet qbs to look at. Not in love with bradford or locker but we need someone like that in here.

Take someone else (depends who's available - it's a long ways away but probably an edge rusher or an offensive lineman) or move down. Cooper will "slide" between now and draft day. Feels like this happens every year, particularly with Lane Kiffin WR's. While he's a reasonably good bet to be a solid NFL receiver, he has no physical traits that would lead you to believe he's going to be able to make plays when NFL defenses focus on stopping him. And to warrant taking a WR that high, he's got to be that kind of a player.

Watch old college footage of A.J. Green, Julio Jones, Sammy Watkins, Calvin Johnson, even Dez Bryant who was a top ten talent but slipped due to off the field concerns - Cooper's good and putting up numbers but not on their level. Or compare him to the guys who came out last year, I think maybe he would've been the fourth best WR talent in that draft, especially when you look at those kinds of traits (making big plays after the catch, going up and getting contested balls). You pass at 6.

******* Rex just HAD to go out and win against the tennessee titties last week.  i am disgusted.

beating the Pats?  okay i'll gladly accept that but tennessee??

Mariota's not as good as people are hyping him out to be.  35% of his throws go to the first read facing crappy defenses and the spread offense he plays in now is nothing like what he's going to play in in the NFL.  That's exactly what happened with Geno.  Not saying he'll be as bad as Geno but these Jets fans who think Mariota > Brady are lost in the own little world.
