ugh, bad memories.  the west side plans were beautiful.  they would have had a superbowl there every 5 years

The stadium would have been nice, but why do you think a superbowl would be there every 5 years. It is still a cold weather site and one where all the ancillary events would be very costly for the advertisers.

I live in Brooklyn, but this city if full of corrupt, disgusting, liberal, thieving, criminals running things. And we keep on voting them in.

Take out the word liberal, and you have a description of all politicians. No matter what side of the aisle. Naive to think both sides aren't going to screw you, it's just screwed in different ways with different empty talking points for common peeps to regurgitate.

Unreal.  I still occasionally think about the Jets would have a different aura around them, a different identity by playing in such a unique stadium in the heart of the world's greatest city....rather than sharing a slightly upgraded facility with the Giants. Some of those conceptual drawings and designs were great.  An open view at one end of the stadium that showed skyscrapers standing tall around the stadium - a true homefield advantage!

We chatted about this constantly on the now defunct ESPN’s Jets board.   I came out this as frustrated as losing a SB.  The moment this guy came out of his cave, I knew that it won’t go anywhere even with Bloomberg backing.  Bloomberg who was one of the most powerful people in NY even before he became mayor had no chance against the slime of NY and his liberals’ peons.   Only God knows how much dough Dolan gave this crook to preserve MSG as the go to go venue in NYC.  Woody was too naïve and got played like a child, probably because he didn’t know how the City of New York or Tammany Hall function with our liberals corruption machine.  The best case scenario that I had been saying forever was Queens, NY but Woody’s pride got the best of him.

I agree with you 100%. But the conservatives have little if any power in NYC. This is a liberal stronghold.

yup, theres been 3 state speaker of the houses arrested just this year on corruption charges. Sheldon being the only Democrat of the 3.

They are all scum. There could be a zombie apocalypse tomorrow and the politicians would still be the biggest threat to our way of life.

Nah ape, I just go by the people that are smart and do research about the topic, NOT PERSONAL OPINION.    :winking0001:

So, who did the research on Rex Ryan that you must obviously be bolstering your redundant Rex points on? You know, since you don't go by personal opinion.

My general statement that politicians are corrupt is in no way debunked by your "chart". Research can be skewed to an agenda. You sir, might be the most prolifically articulate and innovative mind on JN.

Stadium could of beeen in rotation for super bowls, college football championship, finals 4s, ect. The 7 train extension is nearly done.

You can see that subway entrance above in this aerial right next to where the stadium would of been built over the tracks. If you have walked around this part of the city you know its a boom town. Countless towers going up and around the High Line.

Thought it was a bad idea , but the site is poised to be an attraction. Also adjoins the High Line park, which is a very cool space that runs for blocks up and down the West Side. Starts in the lower right of the bottom picture.

Silver screwed the chances of getting Casino Poker in NY so I hope he gets torn a new size a$$hole every day for what reamins of his life.  And I do mean torn.

Also stopped UFC from staging shows in NY, which is really pointless.

First, that's UI-Chicago, not UC, and I'm one of the authors on this.

Second, what is not mentioned in this report is that we discovered there was a strong correlation between population and corruption. Where there are highly populated metropolitan areas, there are corrupt policymakers. More people = more corruption. Funnily enough, adjust the numbers to population and North Dakota is the most corrupt state.

Third, there is no distinction when it comes to partisanship or ideology. Anyone who tries to attribute corruption to either has zero knowledge of what they're talking about.

Removed a number of posts and applied the lock, all while -appropriately- sitting on the toilet.

We have a no politics rule here. The phase, "all politicians are corrupt," is fine and probably accurate. Once you start promoting one party or ideology over another, it's not allowed here.

I'm pretty sure there are plenty of places on the Internet to discuss that sort of thing if you absolutely have to.
