Similar height and weight, similar arm length. Williams is obviously the much better player but we are not talking about that are we? Size and body type arent always the same thing. Coples from the waist down (before he slimmed down for OLB) was a trunk. He played DT. Mario Williams is more of a leaner type, built for pass rushing - why he's able to be an effective DE pass rusher. If you watch Coples at DE or OLB, he's unable to bend around the corner. Mario Williams doesnt have that problem. Their athleticism and body type is not the same and I'm tired of discussing this. jack48 Posted February 1, 2015 Share Posted February 1, 2015 This is 100% true. He made a name for himself under the Butch Davis led tarheels as DT. In 2010 he had huge year - then Davis was ran out of town he got moved to DE where was less effective. That's when all the "hot/cold motor" talk took off.
