Hau’oli Kikaha: DE/OLB Washington

Villain The Foe

Recommended Posts

I'd draft this guy as a pass rusher over any of the main names in the draft. This guy shows intelligence on the field. He has a great sense for screens, he pushes runs back to the inside, he can play with his hands in the dirt or standing up, you can place him anywhere near the line for blitzing and he is solid in coverage. He uses his hands well and they're always active. I like what I see with this guy. He doesnt come off as a one trick pony. There's times where he would start off rushing the QB then suddenly stop because he recognized what the play was even if it didnt end up playing out on his side of the field. He never seems to over commit when the play is going away from him in order to shut down reverses. I really like his game. Exciting player.

Kikaha had 19 sacks this year. He registered a sack in every game except one, had 4 mutiple sack games, 2 of those 4 games he had 3 sacks.

You would take him at 6? Or trade back to land him?

I'd trade back most definitely if dealing solely with the 6th pick. As of right now, I dont hear anything about him in the 1st round. There was an article that projected him as a 3rd rounder at the earliest. However, from what I see from him, if the jets used their 2nd rounder on him I'd be stoked because he's been more impressive to me than anything I've seen from the other top candidates that are getting recommended for that 6th spot. We could either trade down pick up something in the mid first, pick him up in the 2nd or third or just get something solid with the 6th pick and get great value with him in the 2nd. I think by the time the draft comes around this guy will be on everyone's mind. His intelligence is what strikes me the most, which will always have him in position to make plays.

He's got some knee injuries but that didn't slow him down I really like him over Shaq Thompson the kid plays angry. Trade back in the first and pick up a 2nd or 3rd and make that happen.

Thats exactly my outlook. I would trade back from the 6th pick to the mid range, pick up a 2nd or 3rd round pick as well and draft this guy with that mid 1st pick. Im not sure if we could get away with it, but maybe we could even pick him up with our 2nd round pick, but I think after the combine this kid will be on many people radar and wont make it out of the 1st round.
