RoadFan
The neverending network of family connections and nepotism in the NFL is really unfortunate. A lot of "who ya knows" in positions that should be held by "what ya knows." This is not a specific knock on young Dinger. Just an indictment on the entire league. GenoandtheJets
I remember when the Jets hired his father at offensive coordinator.
Morrissey
Jets are bringing in some smart, hungry fresh blood to that front office. Exciting hires being made there. Love the Brian Heimerdinger hire — Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) January 27, 2015 Just want to reiterate what an outstanding hire I believe Brian Heimerdinger is for the Jets. He has a keen eye for talent. Great upside — Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) January 28, 2015
RutgersJetFan
Nice, going somewhere where your dad worked also. Surprising too. His dad hated working for this organization. I still remember the picture in the Post (or it may have been the News) where they had a cartoon of him behind bars because Mangini originally wouldn't let him leave. faba
If you lucky enough to get a job in the NFL you are practically assured of being rehired somewhere
drsamuel84
Mac must've really gotten Woody to pony up on the scouting side. The emphasis this team is finally putting on talent evaluation is pretty exciting.
Latinlawyer
Finally spending on the scouting side. I am hoping that all this effort on the scouting will yield great drafts because honestly, our drafts have been poor since 2005 I would say. We were lucky on a few players but the amount of free agent fixes we needed to raise the quality of our roster inhibits us from resigning our own players. You can't have long term success without consistently generating homegrown talent. Look at the Packers, Steelers and Ravens...those teams do a good job generating home grown talent.
