Going into the combine, what does your top 5's per round look like?

(I'm assuming no Harvin)

1st round: Going with value and blue chip prospects
1 - WR Davante Parker; a stretch? Maybe, maybe not. Kid can ball, and I'm tired of us not being in the "perfect" spot to get these guys. Just take him dammit.
2 - OLB Shane Ray; no one wants O more than me. But the value and the fit is right.
3 - QB Jamison Winstonian; with other two gone, he's next man up
4 - WR Amari Cooper; not the ceiling of a White or DGB but I trust him at #6
5 - OT Ereck Flowers; he'll the first OT off the board. Mark it down.

2nd round: The sweet spot
1 - WR Dorial Green-Beckham; I'm sure his stock will deviate, but for now, I'll do anything to land him here.
2 - RB Todd Gurley; I'm almost positive he doesn't make it this far. But if.... Him + Ivory = domination.
3 - CB Q. Rollins; I love ceilings, and quite honestly, I don't trust Milliner and McDougle to be healthy in 2015, if ever again.
4 - T/G La'El Collins; This past week made me fall in love with Collins and his versatility.
5 - WR Jaelen Strong; Quietly been out of the spotlight over the last couple months. I have questions about his ability to dominate NFL corners and whether he'll James Hardy into nothing, but for now i'm on board.

3rd round: depth picks start here
1 - WR Justin Hardy; I think ultimately the 2nd round prospect lasts until the 3rd because of the plethora of talent with guys like Strong, White, Coates, Agholor and now Crowder and Smith.
2 - RB David Johnson; I don't think he lasts till the 4th. Too much potential. Too much jerking off.
3 - ILB Tawain Jones; not the sexiest pick, but Jones loves violence. So I love Jones.
4 - TE Wes Saxton; We need way more depth at TE, and I just don't trust Jace in the long run. I think he's more Jacob Tamme than Jimmy Graham
5 - QB Garrett Grayson; When the dust settles, I think he stands to be the #3 off the board after the other two. So I doubt he's still here.

4th round: Think you can still get a starter here
1 - QB Brandon Bridge; start developing now for tomorrow.
2 - CB M. Peters; Like DGB, I just don't care about the character stuff. It;s the coaching staff's job to figure that sh*t out. He's got #1 corner potential.

3- OT Donovan Smith; Some mixed feelings out there about Smith, but this a bargain here
4 - OG Laken Tomlinson; He may have worked himself into the 3rd but one can hope.
5 - OLB Lynden Trail; we need to get some youth developed

Rounds 5-7: Gonna keep it general at this point
1 - TE MyCole Pruitt; If we miss on Saxton, I want Pruitt
2 - NT Trent Williams; I don't believe in paying "Snacks", so we'll need some youth at NT
3 - OG John Miller; not sure he gets this far anymore
4 - CB Tye Smith; I like his production, size (thought he could stand to add some weight) and word on the beat is he'll fight till the death.

5 - RB Dominique Brown; I'm always weak-kneed by 6'2 230+ backs that like to bang.
6 - DB Josh Shaw; convert him to FS
7 - TE Nick Boyle; would be a perfect compliment to Jace/Saxton
8 - WR Antwan Goodley (or Rannell Hall); Be a great #4.
9 - CB Ladarius Gunter; like his style and size.
10 - OG Max Garcia; I'm all about Guards this year.

I bolded the picks I'd make if I had my way, though it wouldn't be easy. I'm assuming we address our secondary and the guard position with high profile FA signings.

tough crowd. tougher forum. I just rattled off 30 prospects and not even a fart hey....

We don't need a RB especially that early.

And yes, Mick. You do need David Johnson that early. You need him as soon as you can get him. You should do your homework. There's no better pairing than Ivory and Johnson this side of heaven.

Do your own homework. It's not 1985 anymore. RBs aren't as important as QBs and WRs. If the passing game sucks which the Jets does then your running game is pointless. Fix the passing game and Oline first. The Jets RBs are fine.

Are they mick? Are they really? Powell is a FA and johnson is on his way out. What can you tell me about David?

That he's a RB and the Jets have more important needs then a RB from a bs school before the 6th rd and he's not getting drafted that high.

Wow. Why are u even in this forum. Isn't there a park bench you should be eating a banana at? What a retarded reply.

I bolded the picks I'd make if I had my way, though it wouldn't be easy. I'm assuming we address our secondary and the guard position with high profile FA signings.

I like this format.

To break it down by round:

1st round:

I think I would rank Cooper ahead of Parker.  I love Parker, and I think he's almost the same as Cooper, but I think Cooper is still the No. 1 option here because he's done his damage against better competition.  I also love the fundamentals with Cooper, albeit Parker has the higher upside.   I think one of the reasons I would love to move down in this draft is because of Parker.  I think he'd be a great fit in the 10-15 range (in this case, I think the Eagles would have to work a three way with the Rams).  I like Ray, although I prefer Greogory to him if I had a choice.  I'm assuming in this case, he's targeted to be off the board.

2nd Round:

Would absolutely love DGB here (assuming we don't pick a WR- I wasn't sure the numbers correlated to a systemic picks in your outlook, say as all 1s were one scenario, all 2s were a second scenario) because I'm a sucker for potential.  I listen to the mocking the draft podcast, and one of the two hosts covered Mizzou football last year, and said he thought DGB was one of the most humble kids at the program, and that a lot of his troubles were because of his upbringing.  That he was actually declared dead as a fetus thanks to drugs consumed by his mother while he was a fetus.  But somehow survived, but the parental figures weren't there in his life until later.    Just from his scouting, I'd think I'm willing to overlook the off the field issues here.  He reminds me of the Josh Gordon issue, and I think the Browns tendered his pick as a second round value in the supplemental draft, so I wouldn't have that much problem with using the second here, especially given that I think DGB has more upside.   Of the other choices, I don't think Gurley is going to be there, I fully expect the Seahawks, Niners, or Pats to take him off the board at the end of the first.  I can even see the Colts doing it.   I don't expect to see Gordon or Gurley at the time of our pick in the second.   I think the second round choice of WRs should also be very strong here as I expect a couple from this list of Strong, Coates, Algolor, Greene, and DGB to be there at the second pick.  I think this could make me lean away from first round WR.  Another guy that I would hope to slide is Cameron Irving here, but it's unlikely he slides to us.  Someone who can move around the line like that can be really valuable for us given our current situation.

3rd round:

I like David Johnson, but I don't know if I like the fit.  He catches the ball extremely well, infact the Draft Countdown podcast has a "small school scouting guy" (forgot his name) who nailed a bunch of picks last year about guys going high like West and others, who said Johnson might just move to a WR spot because he's that good as a pass catcher.   I just don't think he compliments Ivory all that well.  I would like a more speedy back, maybe a Duke Johnson.  I think this could also be a good time for another CB.  Walter has Jalen Collins dropping here but I think he moves up in the draft process, but someone like Ikpre-Olumu could be a nice get here. I think if we want Peters, this would be the place as well, I don't think he'll last until the 4th.   Assuming Harvin is gone, I would like a deep threat so if we go away from WR in the first two picks, I think someone like Smith would be a great get here.

4th round:

I think this is a prime spot for a LB, but I haven't done research into them to know which ones might be available right now.  This could also be a nice spot to double down on WRs and see who fell to this round.  Assuming Harvin is replaced by a singular addition to the WR crops, it would still leave No. 4-6 spots open.  I assume Evans fills one spot, first WR draft pick the other, and then maybe this pick.  I'm not high on Enunwa.  I think TJ Graham can be the injury replacement but ultimately replaceable.    I like the upside of Trail, but there were some character concerns with Trail as to why he left Florida, so I think he might drop one more round atleast, because I don't think his production was off the charts this year.

5th round and later:

I've mainly focused on the skill positions so far, so I don't have too many sleepers.  I like Vince Mayle as a second WR type pick that we can try and develop.  I like Shaw as a safety, but I think his stock goes higher at the combine as well, especially if he moves to safety full time.

Nice list.

Great write up, and nice feedback.

I agree with your sentiments regarding round 2. I feel like there's going to be some great options at WR, which is why i bolded Shane Ray in round 1 - so as to say that would be the pick i would make as a GM. Not an easy choice, but if you can get DGB (please god) or Strong in round 2, then you need to look at other areas to improve your team.

I really, really like David Johnson. I fell in love with him last summer, and think the world of him. I think he is a GREAT fit alongside Ivory, and the total package. He would be able to spell Ivory throughout the game while not giving away the play (an obvious passing play) as he's such a confident runner.

I also agree with 3 and 4th round value at CB, but i'm not sure we'll take one any earlier than 5th. I really think it's painfully obvious that the new Brass needs to bring some veterans and leaders in the secondary. We've got a roster full of young inexperienced DBs, don't think we need to add to that end of the spectrum.

Paul Dawson reminds me of Cam Chancellor. Small LB who is great in coverage and probably play safety if needed.

Strong against the pass in general. Can also blitz if askED.TCU is a solid program too. Searching for a Karlos Dansby or Bowman type of.player. Probably not THAT good, but Dawson intrigues me.

I have watched over 200 college football games this year and I seen Dawson at least in 6 games and I was impressed in every game.
