No too enthused about this year's Super Bowl.

I am most likely not going to watch this year's Super Bowl. Usually its something you plan for all week. But this year, just don't feel the magic and excitement of a Super Bowl Sunday.

Also it feels like the Pats will get that PI when they need, will get away with holding all game and just when they are in dire circumstances the refs will bail them out. To me this Super Bowl is a game where one opponent if tainted and it has that possibility of having a tainted Super Bowl winning team. And that robs it of it's excitement.

So i am going to do something more productive and avoid this game.

Not sure how everyone feels about this game.

The Super Bowl means more than the game now. It's the whole event. The fact that you are not enthused about the game means nothing, IMO

The fact I am going to give the whole event a miss does mean something. never missed a minute of it. Halftime show for me is the least favorite part. Yeah watching Aerosmith's yawn fest out there or Janet old gipple is can't miss TeeVEE. Yeah right!

Agreed. Couldn't care less.

The NFL has sucked all the fun out of the game. It's a day time drama 24/7. The game is an after thought.

Throw in the Cheatriots continuous disregard for all integrity of the sport and the NFLs content with their behavior and its almost hard to even support the league by watching.

But I will because I'm a sucker.

the only super bowl I didn't watch was the game after the Jets choked vs. Pit a few years ago.   For whatever reason I just needed a break from the NFL that year.

I hate the Patriots so I have an instant rooting interest in this one.   It should also be a great game.   The Seahawks have a great defense but Pats are going to score.   The Seahawks need to tackle and find a way to get to the mid-20's.

I'm with you pal. I could care less about all of the surrounding bull$hit. Since my team is never in this game, I care less then ever when the dynasty that owns the same division my team languishes in every god damned season Is playing in the game.

Agree half time sham. Not interested.

I feel the same way about it. The media and scandals are taking away from the game. It is like eating too much food. The NFL acts like it will never lose its market share. IDK. The MLS is moving to an 11 month schedule and tastes do change over generations.

The NFL had the chance to be Game of Thrones mixed with Breaking Bad and Sopranos with a bunch of Boardwalk Empire mixed in. Instead they opted for Sons of Anarchy.

I had no rooting interest in the game because I hate some of those Seattle players, and of course the Pats are always the enemy. But there was a get together to watch the game with some friends, and I knew that the only way to enjoy the game was to have a rooting interest, so I bet on the game. I was pretty sure that the Pats were the better team, so I bet on them..... and you know the way it is when you gamble - you root hard for your team... (don't Jet fans have Patriots on their fantasy football teams...just askng) Anyway, I have to make a confession. I was rooting hard for New England in order to win the bet, but more to the point, I ACTUALLY ENJOYED THE EXPERIENCE OF ROOTING FOR A VERY GOOD TEAM. IT WAS SUCH A NEW AND DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE, after rooting for the Jets all these years.  No wasted time outs, precision passing...    Don't worry, next year i'll hate N.E. again.. but that's what happens when you bet.

Congrats on missing what many people are calling the best SB of all time, guys.

I have no regrets, didn't feel the aggravation of others during the game, didn't feel kicked in the gut or robbed of anything after cheaters won. By not watching, I won. It's not like I've never seen a great football game before.

My life will never be the same again. It will take years of therapy to be whole. Yeah right!

From what i read they missed a clear cut tripping call too. Guess who was beneficiary. I forgot, you watched the game. I am sure you enjoyed the non-call. Keep watching the lopsided drivel Goodell shoves up your throat!

If you feel that way, then quit watching altogether. Don't just "boycott" the Super Bowl because "Waaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh, a team I don't like made it".

Not sure how everyone feels about this game.

Obviously, the rest of America does not share your opinion:

The New England Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks with a dramatic interception in the final 20 seconds of Super Bowl XLIX and the close 28-24 game was enough to set a television record in the Nielsen ratings. According to Austin Karp of SportsBusiness Daily, the Super Bowl drew a 49.7 overnight rating which eclipsed the record for the game which had stood for more than three decades.

While the total numbers of viewers has increased consistently with time, the overnight rating which measures percentages of households tuned in for the big game, has fluctuated through the years. The previous record of 49.1 was set in 1982 when the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl XVI.

Last year's matchup between the Seahawks and Denver Broncos on Fox drew a 46.4 overnight rating, the seventh-highest of all time, and set a record for total viewers.

A prop bet available on Bovada listed the over/under for the Nielsen rating at 47.5, which seemed like a slightly high projection considering it would have been the highest mark since 1986; however, the over proved to be the winner on Sunday.
